Northstar or Stock Throttle Body? What Should You Choose and Why? 

Yeah, the maf is a separate thing that sitts in front. I will show more about that when i swap superchargers

if you are talking about threading the evap port. i can't find that either.. lol,, but i just used a 1/4" NPT threading set and a 1/4" npt to hose barb fitting

@@SalemDoyle Yup, I have it already also. I'm thinking about getting the 1.9 rockers and 90# springs to do everything at once. I'm not sure if I'm going to get the zzp or yella terra rockers

I have a L67 TB trying to figure out which is best. I have heard I would have to get an adapter and tap an Evap line into the L67 TB?

Yeah. The gen 5 blower has the evap going to a different spot

I’m 4 months late. But. The zzp adapter has orings. No gasket required. Only gasket is the actual gasket for the throttle body itself.

Zzp sells a bracket with the swap kit, then just trim the end and it will fit

That's wrong. Blowers do not like sucking air. Volumetric efficiency suffers if the blower is creating a vacuum between the throttle body and the rotors. Also creates more heat. Using a turbo to force air through a throttle body is different though. Throttle body size doesn't matter so much with a turbo.

@@boosted0079 Dude, where ever you got your info from. I hope you did not pay for it. Creating a vacuum does not create heat. The stock sc tb is not restricting air flow yet. I'm not going to talk about turbos because you are still lacking on sc. BTW, upload a few video of you working on a car before you try to school me.

@@blackericdenice the vacuum isn't what creates the heat. The over working of the blowers volumetric efficiency by trying to make it become a vacuum pump instead of a blower is why it won't work. Positive displacement blowers do not like sucking air. The opening before the blower greatly affects how they operate. They also take power to make power. If it cannot move enough air due to a restriction of smaller TB opening, then it's not just going to give the engine more air because you spin the rotors faster. In fact, the air that it does move will become even hotter from the rotors increased friction. Parasitic loss of power from the engine having to spin the blower faster is an issue, and if the it isn't getting enough air, it's just completely counter productive. There is a balance of efficiency for every blower. Turbos are blow through, so TB isn't so much of an issue with them. You can in fact just add boost with turbos and get the results you want (so long as you're intercooled and don't have to remove to much timing), but blowers are a draw through design, not blow through like turbos. TB is a very big factor. It's a nice thought, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

Your problem is that you don't want to be educated or "schooled" as you say. Don't let your ego get in the way of learning. It's a proven fact that a 75mm TB (3"approximately) frees up all the volumetric efficiency that an M90 can produce. That's why GM used the larger TB on the series 3 engines using the Gen 5 M90s. It's an indisputable fact. Hence why anyone that's done their homework and is, or has, built a 3800 with an older PCM that only had provisions for a DBC TB uses a N* TB.

Series 3 throttlebody is already big, plus is drive by wire. No throttle cable

@@SalemDoyle okay i wont mess around with it then. Can you suggest any other mods to help with power and performance for my 04 Grand prix GTP comp g? I currently have cold air intake, zzp 1.0 pcm, colder spark plugs and thermostat, 10.5mm zzp spark plug wires, zzp high voltage coil packs, a zzp 3800 downpipe with resonator and mufflers deleted, shorter dogbones and then a 3.6 pulley.

Are you seeing any kr? Also under drive pullies may help some

No symptoms. You have to scan for it.

Its actually easier, you just need the adapter from zzp

Zzp makes kits for liquid to air intercoolers. Thats the only one they offer for the m90

You. An try loosening the tps and tweeking it a little while you scan.

@@lovyou4ever Make sure nothing is binding up and holding the throttle open and make sure that there are no wiring issues
