Welcome back to Part 2 of our Norwegian Fjords cruise - ticking off a bucket list adventure!! We are on P&O Iona cruising from Southampton to Norway.
This week we are heading to Alesund where the weather is a bit dodgy but we walk up Mount Aksla and after a very expensive pint at Dirty Nellys we have the most beautiful sailway. We have a meal at Sindhi, which unfortunately we weren’t that impressed with so probably won’t go again and the following day we’re in Haugesund. A much nicer day and we head off for a coastal walk to see the Kavlen Fyr Lighthouse and also come across a Sculpture Park that used to be in the River Thames!!

Oh my goodnose (as my granddaughter always says 🥰) how beautiful is Norway!!! We love it and that is why we come back again in august. I,m curious what the weather will be like, until now we have only been there in may and allways had sunshine. Alesund is great, we did it by tourist train and went all the way up to the builing on the mountain you can see from the ship. Beautiful views ofcourse. Haugesund looked very nice, we have not been there. It looks like a great reason to come back to Norway. 🤭 Thanks for sharing the video, it,s great!!!⚓

Hi Trees 👋🏻 Isn't just so lovely especially when the sun comes out ☀️ We did see a little train in Alesund and the hop on hop off bus but we do try our best to get some exercise in whilst we're about and about and those steps to the top of Mount Aksla certainly had our hearts pumping 😂 Do you know which ports you are visiting in August? Only two weeks til our Princess one where will be heading back to Norway but just Kristiansand this time! Thank you so much for your support, have a great week - Amanda & Mark 😍

Norway is definitely on our bucket list, even more so after seeing this video. Jane loves Lemon Possett and that was enough to draw her in 😂. Great video guys. Loved it.

We did struggle with Haugesund but think we were getting confused because we saw a Kristiansund nearby and we are going to Kristiansand on our next cruise 😂 Thank you for the tip thought we will remember that for our next visit! Exciting!! We don't have anything booked for next year .... yet 😂 We're hoping to do a bit of travelling in our Motorhome but we'll be itching to cruise at some stage! Two more this year though so looking forward to them. Loved watching your cruise vlog. We did alot of the fjords in our motorhome. We are off to Japan on Saturday for a 12 day cruise.

Hi Jan, thank you so much for your support 🙏🏻 We said we will definitely do the Fjords in Millie the Motorhome one day - we've been following a couple on Instagram that have just spent 7 weeks there and said it was so quiet and really the weather was pretty good for this time of year! We are cruising with Celebrity. Nope we haven't been to Japan before. We have 12 night cruise and then 8 days in Japan doing our own thing.

That's who we cruised with! Celebrity Millennium 🚢 We had a couple of days in Japan first then two week cruise and two nights in Hong Kong. If you're going to Taiwan on the cruise we'd highly recommend the dumpling 🥟 restaurant in the Tapei 101 tower - they were delicious 😋 You'll be able to see a lot in those 8 days as well 😍

@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark ah we love a coastal walk too. We've only done two cruises so far, did our first cruise with Marella this year then the Norwegian fjords on Iona. Cruises are addictive 😅

They definitely are!! We did our first cruise together in 2015 and that was on Thomson Spirit who are now Marella but Spirit is no longer around 😢 We've done loads since then, even with a three year gap because of COVID, and sailed on loads of different Cruise Lines. We love it but we love motorhoming too 😂 Less than two weeks til our next one which is so exciting!!!!!

She was a lovely ship, I went on her again with our daughter for her first cruise 🚢 We will be going on Sky Princess so new cruise line for us 🙌🏻
