Hi guys, join us this week as we finally make it to land after a delayed start to our New Year’s cruise.
We head inland from the Port of Cadiz to Seville, a city we have wanted to visit for a couple of years and although it was a pretty dull day we did enjoy it and we really want to go back. Back on the cruise we head to the Keel & Cow Gastropub so Mark can have his T-Bone Steak he’d been waiting for all week!
The following day we arrive in Gibraltar for a half day visit and we head off to explore the Nature Reserve and find ourselves in an underground tunnel big enough for a lorry to drive through and immersing ourselves in St Michaels Caves. We meet some of the locals, which did freak Amanda out a bit and after a flying stomp around the rock we head back to the ship only to find out some more disappointing news!!
A couple more meals onboard at the Beach House and the Glass House and we’re done for this week.

Great video guys. Seville still remains on our list, and can't wait to go back to Gibraltar, so many memories of that place. And we have serious food envy from your cruise ship 😂

@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark Not been to Gibraltar, but Amanda was right about Alicante, it really is beautiful! Theres a large rock in Calpe, similar to the rock of Gibraltar ,such a sight, and you can actually climb (most walking, with a little scrambling) to the top! I dont recall the cruise port there, but the whole area is beautiful, even Benidorm is nice, its just the people that go there, that give it the reputation it has earned!

@@wellifthemediasaysit I wanted us to walk along Mushroom Street and up to the castle but we will just have to add it to our list of places to visit in our Motorhome now. I have stayed in Calpe with friends on a cycle holiday and we nick-named the large rock “Jock the Rock” which made me giggle in Gibraltar when we were on Jock’s Balcony at the top of the Rock. We stayed with Mark’s Dad when he lived in Benidorm and weren’t big fans but may go again but we did cycle every day and stopped in Altea quite a few times and liked it there - Amanda 😍

Spent 2 days in Seville in 2019 - one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen. Was in the 40's though. Our hotel was just across the room from Plaza Espana .. walked around Plaza both days. Gib was like a trip to England ;). We spent 2 months driving around Spain and Portugal in a leased car - what beautiful countries. Drank far too much wine over the trip (if such a thing is possible).

Wow two months travelling through both sounds amazing! The most we have done is 3 weeks in our car in 2019 but that was all over the place and 3 weeks last year in our Motorhome - have you been to Porto? We went there last April so Mark could do a Port tasting and hope to go back to Portugal for a lot longer one day. I bet it was fabulous having a bite across from the Plaza - we definitely want to go back as a cruise excursion just doesn't give you enough time went the place you want to see is quite far inland from the port. Back in plenty of time! It reminds us of many excursions we went on that there just isnt time to do everything. You done well to get that mileage in tho! Dinner looked amazing. 👍

That's the beauty and downfall of a cruise isn't it?! You get to see so many destinations but only briefly. We have been back to some places though on longer holidays like Rhodes and Gran Canaria and we will definitely be heading back to loads of these stops in our Motorhome especially Gibraltar, Seville and Lisbon - so much to see. @AdventureswithAmandaandMark P&O didn't appeal to us as they sounded too British! But we do like the look of Arvia. Again, there is so much choice and we really want to sail in Celebrity Beyond, NCL Prima as well as RC's Wonder & Icon!

@@CruiseLife22 Those ships are all AMAZING 🤩 Was only looking at NCL’s newest ship the other day and follow Captain Kate on Instagram so get to see Beyond quite a bit. We are on MSC World Europa this year and she looks fab too but like you say so much choice!!

Hi ya, thank you for watching, and for your question re Carnival shares. I have just checked and today’s price for the “Carnival PLC (CCL)” Shares are 1,266.50pence each. We bought ours from Hargreaves’s Lansdown online but you could use other share trading platforms instead. To get the on board credit you need to have bought minimum 100 shares. There are rules around when you can claim the onboard credit, all these t&c’s are available to read on their website this link will take you there. www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit From memory a 14 day cruise will give you £150 per stateroom and a 7 day cruise will get you £60 per stateroom. Only one person needs to have the shares, so don’t double up as it wont give you double on board credit. Any way i hope this brief summary helps you? All the best Amanda and Mark.

This will be my 3rd cruise in October, me and my daughter just come off azura,me and my partner did ventura last year we got a great deal for Iona.yeh I know Falmouth is a great port for sailing x

@@anitajohnson3085 Oh that’s lovely. We did Azure for Christmas in 2022, we went to the Canaries. I have done a couple of cruises with our daughter and absolutely loved them and we actually have our first family cruise booked for later this year. There are some fabulous deals out with P&O at the moment - so tempted to book another one and I really want to the fjords on Iona next year too but now I’m tempted by Ambassador cruising out of Falmouth 🤣 Slightly addicted I think - Amanda 😍
