In this video we will do 1 minute of walking with a closed mouth.
As you are walking you should start slowing down your breathing.
Soften your breath to the point that you feel air hunger, soften it to the point that you feel that you're not getting enough air.
While nose breathing block one nostril so you're concentrating all of the airflow through one nostril. This will make it easier feel your breathing, this will make it easier to follow your breathing through the nose.
As you feel the airflow coming in out of one nostril gently slow down your breathing to the point you feel air hunger.
So the objective is that you're taking less air into your body than what you feel you need.

I watched another video that this man (Patrick Mckeown) did the other day last week and I've started nose breathing. I must say in only just a few days I have noticed many positive changes. :) Better sleep, more relaxed breathing, clearer thinking etc Thank you for sharing this video. Thumbs up!

@@mokuho Sorry youtube NEVER notified me of your message. Someone on this channel put a heart under my message and I am only see your comment now. I am only breathing through my nose all the time now. I avoid mouth breathing. I put my tongue up into the roof of my mouth also.

I found this channel some weeks before I was scheduled for open heart surgery/triple bypass on 12 Oct 22. I was getting some shortness of breath and tightness in my upper chest with just mild exertion. These were angina episodes and close to a heart attack. I would sit down and do the nose breathing, light breaths and slower than normal. The angina would go away in about 7 minutes thanks to the enriched O2 and nitric oxide produced by the nasal passages. But the angina attacks were getting more frequent and without exertion so I called the surgeon's office and told them I need Nitroglycerin tabs or I'll be in the ER and then emergency surgery. Got the tabs and they along with the nose breathing got me through to the surgery day. it turned out I had 3 main coronary arteries with 95%+ blockages. Thanks, Patrick. What if you cant walk and breathe through your nose? My nose seems to get more clogged the faster i walk. I have to nearly tippy toe around to be able to walk while nasal breathing otherwise I get too stuffed up.

Hi sir, thank you so much for all your instructions to make the world easier, i would like to ask you, if i have Fibromialgia, the breathing is so difficult and this case is really chronic, i have followed many breathing patterns but really in vain, what do you recommend in this case and condition? what is the best breathing pattern to follow and to train myself with? one more thing, when i am struggling to breath i fell my belly gets a pressure in it and bloats as i am eating a heavy meal but actually i am not even when i wake up in the morning, thank you in advance for your response.

Breathe less air. Slow down breathing. Nose breathe at all times including sleep.

I always do this weird breathe , breathe exhale Almost like I'm pacing myself while I am walking. It's a bad habit I think. I never fully breathe in and out while I'm walking... Almost like I'm breathing in with two steps and out with a three and four... I used to do it while running to Bad habit. or is it OK to do? Sometimes I'll put my hand on my leg to feel the muscles flex..lol I could just force myself to breathe in deeply in and out like deep breathing, but I don't find a comfortable .. As for one nostril blocked my one nostril is always blocked.. I never breathe through my mouth though

Please answer this question everybody wants to know please.. NOSE STRIPS SOMETHING GOOD OR SOMETHING BAD.. I'm confused because the strips really help me breathe better but does it diminish my lungs I really need to know and I think a lot of people would like to know if it's a good idea to use them thank you

Hi Willy. For severe nasal obstruction - it is good to use the breathe right strips. They are plastic strips which when placed on the outer part of the nose, dilate the nasal passages. It is a temporary measure. In time, as nasal congestion improves there will be no longer require for using them, as the person will be able to keep the mouth closed by just wearing the tape. Nasal breathing is important especially during physical exercise. But also practise the nose unblocking technique.

@@OxygenAdvantage I guess what I mean is 1. Yes the strips do work great this is true but is it beneficial to wear them because I don't want to be Dependant on them.. In other words is it good or bad because they work really well but does it hinder us because we are getting help breathing thru these strips?

@@willywonka077 Hi Willy. As nasal congestion improves there will be no longer require for using them. You can use them at first. But also practice breathing exercises to improve breathing patterns. We have worked with thousands of people, restoring nasal breathing, alleviating nasal congestion- through breathing exercises. Patrick

I cannot remember ever breathing through my mouth on a normal day. Cardio exertion i did mouth breathing but the past 2 years just nose breathing

Great work @jacksonthomas3775 As you know, a little mouth breathing during high level workouts is acceptable, if it means you can stay in your flow and remain efficient in your exercise. As long as you return to nasal breathing as soon as possible. Well done for your progress. Keep it up. 😀

@shrutijagadishshetty1010 It's good to walk with the mouth closed and breathing through the mouth. It's a good way to start reducing your sensitivity to carbon dioxide and improving blood oxygen levels.

Hi Neil. For people with cancer we have to be very careful - they shouldn't do strong breath holds, it can cause undue stress. Improving sleep would be essential and also mouth taping.

@@neilgockelen404 For Cancer -> -Auto hemotherapy(search what is autohemotherapy on youtube) -Alkaline and keto diet -drink alot vegetabes juice(broccoli , carrots , cabbage , cucumbers etc) - supplements ( high doses vit C , Magnesium Malate , Vit d3 k2 , Zinc , B1 , B12 ) eat alot potassium and alot water - 2 teaspoons of baking soda in water per day - lemons -flaxseeds or flaxseed oil -natural herbs and plants -soursop tea -deep breaths -walk everyday (do yoga)
