As the title says, time to cross things off the list. Jimmy and I are really working hard on all the little things with Jumping Jack Flash, our nostalgia front engine dragster. We are still waiting on parts to complete the rebuild on the Hilborn mechanical fuel injection, but it has been blasted, cleaned, and coated so we can get that installed. Speaking of the fuel injection, I ordered the parts to rebuild that too!
In this video, we continue to focus on getting the little things crossed off the list one by one. Hooking up the throttle cable, setting the throttle linkage, installing the fuel shutoff, making sure the Hilborn is correctly timed with the butterflies, and so on. All of these things must be done and before we can fire up Jimmy's real fine 409 small block Chevy for the first time. It all takes time, focus, and the determination to meet your goals. Our goal? Simple, go drag racing and have fun!
