Bob and Paul fish in a very special section of the Thames and catch all manner of things - Guest starring a bloke wanting to check their rod license.

Location: River Thames, Berkshire
Taken from Series 5 Episode 4 - Paul and Bob set off in a punt to fish for perch on a weir pool on the River Thames - leaving poor old terrier Ted forlorn on the river bank, as he is not allowed on the boat with them.

Love you both! I live in Australia, Land of Venomous Crawly Things. The common wisdom here regarding snakes is "they won't hurt you if you don't annoy them". Unfortunately, being human, breathing and going about your business seems to offer gross irritation to many snakes. 🤣🤣 But I'm with you guys - I'm picking the room with the spider every time! You can't vanquish a grizzly bear with a flip-flop.

Amazingly Bob made it over to the dock, handed over his license, signed it, then returned it to his pocket without falling out of the boat. Amazeballs Bob!

I have been subscribed for a long long time but the stopped showing up until now and I forgot about them. Both are great blokes but I am in love with Bob…I could watch him for hours on WILTY. in fact just this morning when I was cleaning my teeth i started thinking about his tall tail on WILTY where he said he did his own dentistry. *_But he was quick to point out that he doesn’t do implants!!_* I cannot even type that without wetting myself laughing. I also would like to point out that my bathroom mirror is covered in toothpaste spit from this morning.

Thames weirpool afloat with two old nutcases. I should have been a cameraman or a sound engineery dude. That would be a day to remember. I would want a cheeky spinning rod on the side though.

I have to say I absolutely love this show .... Brings me back to the glorious 90s when we were allowed to have a laugh.. always been a Whitehouse fan , particularly qc birkley and Mortimer is just a big kid at heart.. easy watching and heartwarming also.. greetings from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

Glad to not see a mass of comments moaning about the licence checker... This day and age... those licences are pretty much the only funding our waterway fish get nowadays. Which is sad... but it's always why you always pay for the dirt cheap licence.

I mean... He might have other things he does with his working day than just checking licences. You never know when he might need to swing into action and put the beat-down on a rogue gang of trout. Also, what's a rod licence checker supposed to look like?

They need to wear protective gear because some self entitled w*nkers object to buying a rod licence and get nasty. If you don't understand that then the c**t is you! Also, he's an Environment Agency employee and has to wear what they tell him to.
