My brother told me back in the early 70's when he was 20, he was at a party and someone was shot over the last piece of chicken. I was 13 and just knew he was making it up...."its just food" I thought to myself. So I see the more things change, the more they stay the same. Thank God no one was killed.
This is just heartbreaking that family would turn to violence over food. I'm so happy this young man survived and can get back to providing for his family. Also glad the shooter was caught and brought to justice. Auntie should be in cuffs too for inciting violence.

@@NOV123 no it's not "expected" in poor neighborhoods. WTH!! I grew up in a very poor neighborhood, there was never a gun used in any argument the grown ups had. But, this was years ago. And also FYI, this exact same thing happens in affluent neighborhoods. They just don't blast it over the news. The more affluent neighborhoods have those mass killers. I won't include their race here, but I'm sure you know exactly who I'm talking about.

If I weren't seeing this with my own eyes I wouldn't believe that it could be that easy to almost take someone's life over food. Parties must have rules, and those rules must be strictly enforced. At my parties I have a marksman armed with an AK-47 at each of the following: barbecue table; drink table; and the kid's table. Food portions are strictly regulated under a shoot-to-kill order. Other than that, everything is chill and laid-back.
What I do is have each guest present ID and then sign for their individual piece of chicken, with a limit of one piece per guest. This has been pretty foolproof. On those rare occasions when one is caught cheating the individual is clubbed to death.
At my parties we all come armed to the teeth, if any looks at anyone the wrong way, or takes more food or drinks than they should we have a "shoot first, ask questions later" policy.

My brother worked at a place that employed a lot of people not born here. One day management held a pizza party and ordered enough for everyone to have 2-3 slices, but quite a few folks loaded up on more than they could eat. By the time the line was halfway done, the pizza was gone and a lot of people had to be ordered to go to their lockers and bring back what they planned to take home. At least no one got shot.

In what country don't they have math? So the standard is 2 pieces of pizza person and maybe you don't know that, but it doesn't matter where you grew up you can look at the number of slices and the number of people and know what's yours. Taking more is just stealing anywhere I've ever been.
