Good video man, quick and to the point. One critique though, maybe explain the calculate parts, like calculate from player's level, each item, chance, etc. Like one thing I've never gotten an answer for is, when setting calculate flags how do you determine when you should just check "Use All" or check both Calculate for Player level and Calc each item?
Thanks so much for this! It has always bothered me to just blindly follow modding guides on their Wrye bash/Mator smash settings. It'll take time to do, but I think I'd much rather prefer fixing leveled lists by hand when I make my own list. Thank you very much for explaining how to do that in a clear way.
Irrelevant question, but when I try to download lorerim it keeps saying that the Lucien bsa file is corrupt and it stops me from downloading. I’ve tried manually downloading the mod but it keeps coming up with the same error.
Any idea what might be populating a vendor inventory other than a leveled list? I'm trying to remove stamina buffing foods from being sold in inns but some things like mammoth tomato stew gets sold at the bannered mare despite it not being a part of any leveled list or being added to the vendor chest directly.
Thanks for the explanation. Can I ask you something please, how is it that the official creations can add individual armor sets to the level list without needing any kind of patches, I mean they added several individual sets in their own plugins with no consistency patch at all, and they all work fine together, why is that and why do we need to have a patch with our mods?
@@biggie_boss Are you sure? Several of them show up on random bandits and thieves etc in my game without using mods. The silver armor I've had, dwarven, steel, orcish, daedric. I haven't seen all of them, but certainly a few have showed up without doing the quests for them. Maybe check again for yourself. I've seen a few neat armors in your mods I was thinking of trying to add in to learn a thing or too, in the easiest possible way of course.
@@biggie_boss Oh okay, they're usually the guys on there own that run up to you on the road, the random encounters, skooma sellers, the orc looking for a good death etc. They're what you call hand placed then?
@@biggie_boss Reason I ask is if I were to just use the same method as they have, just one example would be silver armor has entries on a leveled list of bandit bosses like this "EncBandit02Boss1HNordM [NPC_:0003DEE1]", but a lot of them, could I just copy their template and be okay, not need patches?
