Hi Jerome i have not done any Martial Art training for years now. And i am trying to get flexible. I may be interested in learning Muay Thai but i need to be flexible, my side kicks are not as good on one leg as it is on the other. As for turning kicks like you show i have no height at all. When i kick i bring my knee up but when i try and execute it, my leg just drops down. Ok im 57 but im not going to let age get in my way. Have a great week.

Anything, doing squats and basically any exercise to strengthen the muscles which you are also stretching.

Should I focus on yoga first or flexibility

For overall flexibillity Yoga is the way to go(I think). I'm doing Tkd for a really long time by now and I focus more on special parts of my body being flexable and mobile.
