Fantastic video !! A beautiful way to start the day with anew addition to the farm, congratulations to Candy and you folks . Andy, that is quite a good looking load of lumber that you milled for the future project around there, and you should be proud of what you accomplished. Everyone did a great days work and ended up at the most enjoyable place in the house "MAMA'S KITCHEN" . That's a fantastic looking meal you fixed Megan. You all stay safe and keep up the fine videos showing your daily activities around there, it's never boring we learn so much. Fred.

The first time a cow licked my hand, i checked it over to make sure i still had skin on it. That cow's tongue felt a lot rougher than a cat's tongue. I was amazed.

The new calf is beautiful! You are a great example of how homesteaders can really provide for their family by doing as much for yourselves as possible. I’m proud that y’all are from my home state, y’all remind me of my grandparents on my dad’s side. My grandma cooked on a wood stove until she passed. Even though my aunts bought her an electric stove. They had farm animals, grew their own food. They raised 11 kids on a farm. They lived in Avery county.

Awesome job on that saw mill Andy, those boards look better than you could get at Lowe's or Home depot, Megan you are so good with your animals, that calf will grow up to be a great milking girl. I always look forward to any new vids you post just to see how you guys are living in your everyday life. A day of good work always makes you tired at the end of the day but you can feel proud of what you have completed.....

What a nice calf! That is a good-sized calf for a newborn. I grew up on a beef farm and had never saw a calf get that attached to another cow when the real mom was there! That's so cool! Hope ya'll are having a great week and God bless!

Nice load of lumber! Saved yourself a ton of money and it’s probably better wood. I love those 1x2’s and even the 1x1’s because I like to make them into ladder trellises for my tomatoes and pole beans and cucumbers (I don’t have the garden space that you all have, so mine has to go up sometimes! lol). Love that pretty little calf…the big eyes are so beautiful.

Always thought about getting a sawmill like that. Now I'm looking at the Logosol chainsaw mill. Slower and whatnot, but also a little bit easier to manage. One more thing to add to that wish list should I ever win the lottery!

I swear you can’t plan anything on a homestead. We had the same situation this week but it wasn’t a happy ending like yours was. That is some amazing looking lumber. A sawmill is a must have for homestead IMO. We don’t have any pine here just hardwoods. 2x4’s end up being 40 pounds 😂. Regardless our lumber is 10x the quality of big box stores lumber. Supper looked delicious, no better feeling than sitting down and eating fresh food that was raised and grown by your family. Have a blessed day, thanks for sharing

Thats actually the neighbor to that land we have up there, however thats a really old house, its the original house to that farm before it was split up, that piece of land I was milling on is about a half mile up the road from our house

Stupid closed captioning!!! I keep it on mostly on account of you can't always hear everything in these videos. But it is stupid!!! Instead of "sawmilling", it says "Sol melon". Instead of "2×8s", it says "two baits". Instead of "younguns", it just says "youngs". Pretty calf though.
