Good vlog Gareth, me and my ex boss did a charity sponsored walk in 2019 up and down the Hoad hill 22 times in aid of the fallen army hero’s, my boss served in Afghanistan and the Falklands, we raised £1,800, it only took a few hours with us walking ‘army style’, loving your new vlog channel👍🏻
I'm thoroughly enjoying your out & about videos. What a gorgeous place. I'm glad you took a rest on the way up to show us the stunning views. The mic wasn't too bad. I didn't hear any wind noise. It was so interesting to hear the history of this monument. Brilliant video. Thank you so much 👍😊
Thank you for the lovely walk Gareth.Sadly my walking boots are now at rest so it was so good to travel with you.Your Mike seemed to work well so hopefully all good for you .Thanks again 😍
Great to see Hoad Monument again. 20+ years since last up there. Your microphone seems to do a decent job of muffling wind noise. I like this new channel of yours!
I’m amazed nobody has graffitied the Monument Gareth… being a light colour the Yobs love to tag these things… where I am down south “everything” is Graffitied… glad to see you getting out and about Mate… 👍🏻🇬🇧
Really enjoyed the walk and the views. I thought the sound was ok. Can't get over how much the scenery looks exactly like where I live here in South Australia it's amazingly similar. That's why alot of English and Scottish immigrants settle in my town because the scenery looks exactly like what you've just shown and it makes them feel like they are back home. Cheers again mate. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Gareth for a lovely vlog I do think your microphone needs some adjustment but I’m no expert you have done well keep safe best wishes Sheila and family
Slight echo but over all good enough for sure. Be interesting to see in say the town center mind with traffic and and all. Years ago this would have been a breeze but now I know about it if I have to go upstairs twice but its good to see a bit of greenery even through a camera so a trip well made.
Evening Gareth sounded good with your new microphone its really good for under a tenner.Lovely views on your walk. Glad you enjoyed your walk I enjoyed it too thank you.
Gareth, it's all about the quality of your mic muff. It don't matter how good your gear is (or isn't) you need a good hairy muff for best results 😆 Anyway, enough insinuation, if you clap at the start of a recording you will find it dead easy to sycronize audio with video. If Mrs Foodie guy heard you breathing like that she would be sending the kids round a neighbours, she would think her luck was in
Hello Gareth, re a new microphone. What will you get for a part exchange deal🤔😂? Now as a Londoner taking a long walk like that would be fantastic, don't get me wrong we have some great parks and open spaces. But real countryside. Nowt like it. Only draw back that I can see(if you're lucky enough) are all the little messages💩💩💩 left by the free romeing doggies, and their thoughtless owners 😱😱Still a nice simple video of your backyard 😊😊Lovely take care of yourself and continue to enjoy your new lifestyle. Allan&Family
So nice to see the views. Brilliant zoom on your camera. Probably not an appropriate comment but I would definitely be heading for a pub lunch after that hike, hopefully you will include some popular hostelries whenever you and the family are comfortable.
A great way to review the new microphone, to my mind the audio is not something that would have me reaching for the off switch... With regards to the, actual product being tested, like you say, yeah, you get what pay for. Really enjoyed the video, thanks.
I live a few miles from there and never been or seen it before. I must get out more. Great view. It's odd we live in a beautiful part of the World and hardly see any of it yet it's on our door step lol.... Great video. Mic's ok. Can hear a little wind but not that bad for a tenner.
hi gareth hope you are keeping well great to see you on the walks certainly makes a change from being in the kitchen. he sound from the mike is great just ideal for the roving around really good views from the top i think i would be sitting on every bench on the walk have a great week wes
Gareth, bit red in the face there, all that exercise, heavy breathing😂😂. Maybe the mike a bit further away, but not too bad. Great to see you’re letting us couch potatoes see a bit of the countryside😉 Keep doing what you’re doing, it all helps, proud of you❤
Hi Gaz. Enjoyed your video. Beautiful scenery. That walk is just up my street for me and young Westie Jolyon. Microphone seems to work fine. But in windy weather maybe rather muffled. Great you are using different filming techniques. Enjoy your Sunday. 💕
As I’ve said before I love these videos I live down south from you and we done have these nice walks so thank you. We always holiday up that way many years ago so know the beauty of your way. Thank you as I don’t get out much. 👍❤️
What a fantastic view love to go there , your microphone was good . Give my best to your wife and children also to your Mum and Dad . Sending you all love and prayers 🙏 God bless you all .
Good video Gareth. I love going.on those sort of walks. Nice views as well, but you could have spared us the view of the rabbit droppings 😂. Take care and all the best. 👍
Brilliant video. I love the outside, in nature, nothing like it. As for the mic, I reckon it would sound better if you put it quite a bit further away. Gets a wee bit shrill at times because I think, it's too close. You're one of my favourite you tubers besides Gary Eats and Grizzly Gaz. 😊
As the video is about my whole name plus a bit, I will like and continue following mate, nothing better than the real stuff, I’m not sober myself but you do make me think pal
Top video mate. Honestly the DJI pocket osmo 3 creator bundle would be really good for these types of video. The 3 axis gimbal and wide angle would make it professional and smooth 👍🇫🇷
Watched you walking whilst walking 😂 I couldn’t hear any of your huffing and puffing over my own 🤣 As always, enjoyed this, ta, have a brilliant evening 😊x
Beautiful views pal. Mic was decent at wind prevention, but just a bit too loud. Not sure if there are some settings available, but might just be what you get for a tenner! Keep em coming.
The microphone sounds okay to me. It didn't drop out. There was little wind noise. But one could probably pay upwards of £300 for a very sophisticated mic, Sennheiser for example, and I don't think that kind of cost is justified just for making RU-vid videos. Perhaps other vloggers with more expensive microphones will leave something in the comments. Anyway, very interesting walk/hike, and the only thing missing was a flask of tea and a sandwich to eat on one of those benches. Beautiful day, too.
Nice walk Gareth, very scenic. There are so many lovely walks in the UK… 👍.. Coming down is the best part, you’ve earned it in sweat on your way up…. 👍🇬🇧…
Great vlog Gaz... I did that climb a few times in my youth, on my hols.. I always know when I'm approaching Ulverston by car from the Back Barrow direction when I see the monument sink into the hill..! Not much wrong with the mic either, there are far worse on other channels. 🏴👍
GAVIN have youbeen to Bassemthwaite Lake station. Me & my daughter whilst staying in lakes had breakfast there. It the prop train used for the film " murder on the Orient Express". If your youtube journey stretches that far, please visit, booking req fkr eating on train. It was lovely and couldn't fault it. Well worth a special visits
...for the price, that mic. wasn't too bad! ...have you considered a 'windscreen' for your phone, basically a fluffy 'sock' that fits over the mic. end, i've heard they're quite effective, i've known of folks who use a bit of an old sock lol ... very enjoyable to watch, thank's ...i'd seen 'a walk on the wildside' vid just the other day up there, so it was interesting to see your alternative scenic route! ...cheers, Steve...
Hi Gareth, Great video 👍 you are doing good on your new channel but I totally agree with you get yourself a better microphone which I think will improve your video quality 110% all the best Lin 🙂👍
