If you want to cut to the chase on the Under Stairs Storage stuff, here you go... Part 1: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C-Ex0P2JYzw.htmlm41s Part 2: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TcrFgrbIroQ.htmlm2s
I shouldn't have to cut to the chase, he needs to stop bumping his gums and get to the point if he wants to keep the attention of anyone! He literally talks more than a 14 year old girl!
Would love to see a video about how the doors where made. I'm looking at building something like this under my stairs, so I've been watching as many videos I can of cabinet making and the like. Top content mate, keep it up
Thanks Andy, good to see how the under stairs storage area came together 👍👍👍. I ended up putting my compressor outside the workshop in its own sound proof cubby to give me back some floor room and take the noise out. Long term I want to plum in some permanent air lines with off takes in my two main work areas, got a design and material list but still have to find some time to do it. That could work for you as well I imagine.
I got a new compressor recently. I finally went for the same as Keith Brown did a video on because I need low noise and can tell you it’s really very quiet compared to normal ones. I think they do various sizes, 24L enough for me. Brand name is Orazio. Recommended if quiet is what you want.
Im down the road at teesside. This summer weather is awesome ! Getting sick of people asking me " isnt it too hot to work outside in this heat" No its too bloody cold to work outside in the winter months. Your stair storage looks great. Iv done a few, bit of a ballache but satisfying when finished.
I second that - yes please. I've got some doors to make myself soon, and hadn't thought of just biscuits and glue, so would be really interested to see how you do it.
Love your videos Andy. I am starting to get a bit more adventurous with my DIY and your video have really helped. I would really appreciate the door video to help inform a project I have coming up. Keep up the good work.
Another great video Andy, this time I’m watching on Vancouver island as I’m staying with my brother in law. I can’t believe the price of tools out here in Canada, what we pay in pounds 💷 they pay in dollars 💵 if only I could bring some home with me. Anyway can’t wait for the new podcasts with you and Peter.
Good work fella👍👏👏👏 Aviation was my trade for almost 28 years before I started the home maintenance and finishing business . It was a great apprenticeship for finishing work 😂.
The music used in the last 20 seconds (and in the into) of this video really gave me a nostalgic feeling, couldn't shake that it was inspired by some 90s videogame - eventually it struck me that it I was thinking of the bomb-ass soundtrack to the SNES game Plok. Everyone who enjoys synthy prog music, go listen to the Plok OST. listening to the "Beach" track rn, Tim Follin was a genius.
The storage turned out great. Looking forward to tje testing tuesday. Do you tell clients about the strongly recommended primer/undercoat layer before they opt to paint it themselves? Because that adds even more time and money, and another half full can of expensive something you will most likely not use again before the end of its shelf live.
Lol mine's so old it often doesn't cut out when it reaches pressure and the safety valve goes off. Jumped a mile when that first happened! I switch it off manually now. 😂
Planning my own under-stairs enclosure, found this build and video quite helpful, although unfortunately the link to article about the build does not work :( On the doors, you don''t mention the size of the MDF used for the rails and stiles .. I am guessing they are 18mm thick ? would 12 mm work, or is that too thin for the hinges ? I am a Yank, so we still use Imperial units, but I am getting used to the metric as easier way to measure and plan . Thanks !
Enjoyed the video, thanks. Would like to see one on the doors, please. If I'd been your customer, I would have asked you to paint the under stairs storage but I guess I'm just lazy.
Believe it or not, Lidl have a 50l compressor on sale at the moment ! Could be your opportunity to do a cheap tool compare/review. Peter's not reading this, is he? ;-)
What slides did you use there? I'm looking to DIY something similar but it's 800mm deep and anything over kitchen size (650?) and the price rockets. Especially for heavy duty. Considering making some tracks for fixed casters. Just feels dirty.
I am building something very similar to this under my stairs. Do you have any videos that actually show any of this process in-depth? I've not seen any yet. Thanks
Good update, mate👍 Have you considered making a soundproof box/cabinet for the compressor? You could incorporate an over the top storage unit to hand air related tools, bits and bobs. Be a great RU-vid video as well. Just a thought. Camp "Gosforth Handyman" 👌 Love ya flag, by the way.
Gosforth Handyman , I did see a guy somewhere had added a longer drain tube to his, and extended it through the wall to outside his shop. The on off valve was also outside. So, the answer I guess, is yes. If you make it yourself. 😉
Looks great, I'd love this under my stairs. How do you go about scribing a board to the floor and wall at the same time though? I'd like to see a video about that.
WHAT THE CRAAAP! HE TALKS MORE THAN A 14 YR OLD GIRL! I have my phone set on autoplay and resting on a stand while I shower. I had enough time to actually condition and rinse my hair when I looked back at the video, he was STILL rambling on about nonsense things that have nothing to do with stairs or storage!
Lol, thanks Victoria. Yes, this is a Joinery Vlog and channel update. Says in the title... and description... and in the pinned comment. Hope you enjoyed your shower though! 😂
