When you're camping or caravanning, have you ever found the ground is too hard for your pegs? Crispy (from Not Grey Nomads) demonstrates how to use screw in tent pegs in to rock hard ground. Visit us on the web: notgreynomads.com
Great Vid & thanks. I'll return the favour by giving you a sound tip to reduce the wind noise - Position your mobile/camera in a way that is down wind of your camera operator (whilst pointing at you of course), that way their body will help to stop the wind blowing on your microphone.
@@abbas431 sorry Abbas, I thought I replied and just noticed i hadn't! Just measured, and my pegs are 8mm in diametre, and the drill bit I use is 6mm. That way the peg still has something to bite into and hold strong 👌 I think a couple of mm less than the width of your pegs is important. Hope that helps 😁
Yes Colin, they are in a bit of a weird part of Bunnings as what you would think they'd be, but you'll find them in the gardening section mate. If you buy them open the case and make sure the drill bit is inside (some have clear lids on the cases and others don't) cheers 👍
@@NotGreyNomads Thanks for that. Am in WA and there are more Bunnings stores than pubs atm, will have a fossick around. Subscribed and enjoying your vids.
Hey what Nm would you recommend for this? I'm looking at a Impact Driver that has up to 240Nm or a Hammer Drill that is up to 50Nm . The ground I will use it on is like what you are standing on there. Thanks 🙂
The nm of my wilwaukee 18v drill is 135 mate. In very hard/rocky ground such as this I don't have much luck just screwing pegs into the ground and that is the reason for the masonry drill bit. Hope that helps.
