Official lyrics: It takes a simple nod to fall in line But it takes everything to stand alone Eventually you may end up crossing the line And then you fully understand that your ass is on Your own Believe me I don't judge you just because of what you do So don't judge me on things I'd rather not do It ain't easy trying not to fit in Lost touch to a few close ones cuz I didn't give in Courageous way of life Forever it feels like Gotta fight for my right to be who I really wanna be It's hard under pressure Any types of the gestures Don't matter to aggressors But I will not fall apart But I won't Cave in Even though I keep on walking alone Believe in Myself My faith Can't take my soul, nah! I wanna live my life not to just exist Gonna get my rights so I fight back and resist They wanna do it like they own me Make another me like cloning only little do they know me You can never hold me Felt as if I was drowning with no water The blade of pressure hits me got my mind slaughtered And I kept on shaking telling myself That I am so much stronger Than before so much stronger Nothing is promised Nothing is flawless Everything's a contest So I've got to take a shot I will not take a swat From any spot Cuz I've got To fight back Or else I'm just gonna be back to who I was who I was The weak me the dark me I don't stop for a reason That me's gonna beat me Determined not to surrender Under any circumstances Over my dead body is their only chances
Didn't take me nearly as long, thank you Haru Ryuji and Aigis front line for tanking really well and doing dummy physical damage. Naoto and Mitsuru back line were also important support but Mitsuru had trouble using her ice powers
This song gives me chills, especially the part “I kept on shaking telling myself that I’m ‘so much stronger’ than before, so much STRO-NG-ER-R-!” I can totally see someone going through a P5 Awakening at that part, and ripping the mask off at the exact moment the cutting audio kicks in.
I decided to try and make your idea with Ryuji's awakening ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nY7Oy3GfPIA.html Video's still processing as I post this aint processing anymore we good lmfao
This is literally how the main villian of persona 5 awoken his powers. He's retelling his experience as not being a positive change but costing him his identity. And now he chooses to fight back against his own evil.
Same here; I just came out of the second boss by the skin of my bloody teeth, with only one party member left alive with no way of reviving anyone and TWO HP LEFT. Had it not been for poison taking down the last minion, I would have been screwed. Then again, it made the victory exhilirating. It feels like I earned it.
Probably the first enemy in the game that puts up a protection wall if you do an All-Out-Attack. Just don't do all-out-attacks and the battle becomes much fairer.
I suppose "No more what ifs" is the closest thing Akechi has to his own theme. Also, totally agree with OP. This song really fits Akechi's mindset, even if it wasn't intended to.
Props to Shinjiro getting that lucky hit when Doe went into his "Infinite Despair" phase and not only hit with the Bus Stop Sign but also got the Agility Bind, making the phase so much easier for me.
I had gotten a skill for Fukka that removes binds and ailments for this fight and was frustrated when it didn't work, thankfully I still had a super strong frontline of Haru, Ryuji, and Aigis so they carried the battle
When I fought Doe, my Shinji also really came in clutch. He happened to be the last man standing, and on the turn I had him try to revive my healer, he ended up surviving 3 otherwise mortal blows in a row with Return From Yomi + Endure.
@@WednesdayMan Buffs and debuffs kind of suck in this game though tbh. The only buffs/debuffs worth using is Rebel Vanguard, Debilitate, and Heatriser. Everything else costs too much SP for their worth or are a waste of a boost. The only really good option agaisnt Kamoshidaman and Yosukesaurus is Poison, which barely works anyway xD
@@donchindle2958 yeah I figured that out, debuff based attacks are what I used since they made more sense than the usual debuff skills, but Masukujaja, Matarukaja and Marakukaja are way more useful due to affecting everyone in the party, which saves on turns, as opposed to heatriser which only affects one at a time.
@@sirspookybones1118 I died at least once to all of them but the final boss, and only because of being stubborn with her. Yosukesaurus is possibly my second hardest of the fights only beaten by boss 4.
If this song didn’t have Lotus Juice in it, I could totally see this song being a boss battle theme for a huge Guardian boss in BoTW. The frantic piano is mostly what makes me think that.
eh the song is a little to slow in certain points to be used for something fast paced like being chased by a guardian. if BoTW were an turn based rpg like etrian odyssey and guardians were some FOE like enemy then these theme would fit pretty well
@@cumekira70 you swung first genius Edit: I'd like to ask, why comment on that guy's opinion on Rivers in the Desert in the first place, nothing provoked you except someone else's opinion as far as I can tell Edit 2: after looking at that comment again, the guy said he liked it for the meaningful lyrics, if you think the lyrics aren't meaningful then we should discuss that, cause you swung at someone for their opinion on lyrics with your opinions on the song as a whole
I can see this song being played on a highway chase. The Phantom Thieves are being chased by a bunch of shadows in vehicles and they're in the Mona van. Makoto is using the bike(her persona) to fight them off as she's driving with Crow in the back helping makoto with his gun, sword and persona. Haru is on top of the mona van using her bazooka to shoot down the other shadows that approach. Yusuke breaks the window in the back of the mona van(probably hurts lol) and shoots his assault rifle from there and Ann opens up the sliding door and occasionally shoots her gun along with Violet. And Joker is driving with Ryuji in the passenger in case anything comes near. And of course Navi/Oracle flying near in case of support. God I can see that in my mind and it might not leave me for a while.
Imagine remembering Trinity Soul. ...You are right though, I kinda get some of those Trinity Soul vibes; it could fit in with Reverse The Destiny and Soul Drive, for sure.
Me playing this for the first time: "Damn this game is easy, I really don't want to just breeze through everything." Kamoshidaman 2nd Phase: "Allow me to introduce myself."
So I re-listened to the song multiple times and cross-referenced as well and the song lyrics eventually turned into (Anyone think this iteration is more accurate or...?): It takes a simple nod to fall in line But it takes everything to stand alone Eventually you may end up crossing the line to fully understand that your ass is on your own (Believe me) I don't judge you just because of what you do So don't judge me on things I'd rather not do It ain't easy trying not to fit in Lost touch to a few close ones cuz I didn't give in Courageous (way of life) Falling on (it feels like) Gotta fight for my right to be who I really wanna be It's hard (under pressure) Any types (sort of gestures) Don't matter to aggressors But I will not fall apart But I won't (But I won't) Cave in (Cave in) Even though (Even though) I keep on walking alone Believe in (Believe in) Myself (Myself) My faith (My faith) Can't take my soul, nah! I wanna live my life not to just exist Gonna get my rights so I fight back and resist They wanna do it like they own me Make another me like cloning only little do they know me You can never hold me Felt as if I was drowning with no water The blade of pressure hits me got my mind slaughtered And I kept on shaking telling myself That I am so much stronger than before So much stronger Nothing is promised Nothing is flawless Everything's a contest So I've gotta take a shot I will not (Take a swat) From any spot (Cuz I've got) To fight back Or else I'm just gonna be back to who I was (who I was) The weak me (dark me) I don't stop for a reason That me's gonna beat me Determined, not to surrender Under any circumstances over my dead body is their only chances

This by far is my favor song in the game next to "last surprise" since it gets me pumped up and focused during a big boss fight! 😁 I just wish this played when I fought the reaper, it would've set the tone of the fight perfectly imho! 😔 I'm almost done, just need to finish fine tuning my post party setup then I'll tackle both the secret (tackle again due to not having whirlwind swing and colossal swing.) and final boss before finishing up my first and only playthrough for the time being. I just hope this at least plays for the secret boss/the final boss! 😌
Well you know, hadn't played PQ2, only watched the opening, trailer, etc. But I admit, I would love to kick superhero kamoshida's ass again with this theme playing
Looking at the comments it seems I had an easier time with the bosses in this game than everyone else, but then again I cheesed everything harder than Glanbia new mexico so idk
This theme was great to beat Kamoshida again to. Him, Shido, and Royal's final boss got the biggest emotional reaction out of me. Though each was a very different emotion.
PQ2 bosses in a nutshell 1. Big Kamochungushida 2. Yosukesaurus Periculumensis 3. SHUJI 4. Shadow from Persona 4 except He is a Boss (Actually) 5. Deity with a guise of a 17yr old.
I have to say... what PQ2 lacked in labyrinth difficulty (I didn't find any of the puzzles to be as difficult or engaging as the ones in PQ1) it definitely made up for it in combat difficulty. The bosses for each dungeon (except for maybe the final boss) were so unbelievably hard for me, with special mention to Kamoshidaman and the boss of the 3rd dungeon. Wowowow I could not believe it. The bosses of PQ1 were such pushovers for me.
I hated/despised that third labyrinth’s boss called the Mother Computer like seriously I was stuck on that particular boss fight for three days that’s how awful and annoying that third boss is!!!
@@Ashyson780 I have the same thought with you when I first heard it But after countless hours struggling in boss, now this song stuck in my head and now I love this song because chaotic feel Laser beam is still good imo..but this song really describe boss in Q2
@@travissmith799 I dont think it's the lyrics... idk something about it just really irritates me. And I guess it's not all bad like I think 1:45 to around 2:25 is pretty good
