Beautiful drone footage. You get a sense of the overall natural beauty of the town. Thanks again for posting these brilliant videos. I agree with the food safety advice. If it’s supposed to be cooked food, it should be served hot. And cold food should be on ice or right from the fridge. Happy travels and stay safe to both of you.

I'd say you were the first European that most of the locals had ever seen Todd. these mountain villages have a magical atmosphere at the end of the day - how I miss the tranquility of south east Asia.

What an amazing location for a village. It’s on top of the world, with gorgeous priceless view; but the pine indicates that it can get quite cold, at night, I’m sure. Again, amazing drone aerial footage. 🙏 Thank you for traveling to these remote places and sharing them with us, the world and posterity’s.

Yes the main drag shops were minimal , so you think the No market is due to a lack of local growers & boats ? - 2 x corner stores & 2 beer 🍻 stores seems ok 😃 - yes the lady at the table is ? - takes orders perhaps - Thanks T 🍻🙏👌👍

Todd, I'm really digging your videos. What a spectacularly beautiful country. This trip, in particular, you have shown us some amazing terrain, road systems (even the roundabout in the middle of nowhere), villages, and towns. The drone footage over the peak of Saysathan blew my mind. Couple of questions for you: 1. Do any of these villages on the sides of mountains or hills have landslides during the rainy season? 2. At the small convenience store, there were two tables set up on the road. What were those ladies doing? Was that something government related regarding food? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Hi Todd and Neenee, I love your videos and keep on watching them. I am just curious about these houses on the mountain. Aren't the villagers afraid of mudslides and hills sliding as it rains quite often there. Did you guys ever talk to the villagers about that? Has it ever happened?

There are so many dogs around, it's like every family has numerous dogs. What do they feed their dogs? I can't imagine they could afford to give their own food source of chicken, pork or beef to the dogs. Dogs need a good high protein diet, they wouldn't do too well on just a vegetable diet. There is not much chance of going to Coles for a can of Pal, maybe the dogs fend for themselves and hunt rodents and small animals

Most people in Laos feed their dogs rice with a very small amount of meat mixed in. Dry dog food is available in some places but it's expensive.

Where do you get fuel that far out?

Any of the villages have fuel. Pumped from 44s or sold in water bottles. It may have seemed like a long distance we traveled, that's only because of the slow pace and windy roads.. it was only about 70km from Hongsa to our destination. We've never had any problem finding fuel on our travels 👌
