The hairstyles, the big baggy clothing.... 1994 it's amazing how much everything changes throughout the decades. Fashion, technology, brick mobile phones, cars, politics....
Same takes me back to my childhood this what a great time to be alive 3 channels and running to the toilet while the adverts was on cause you couldn’t pause gladiators lol
Wow a Saturday night show with literally a 6 second announcement from the announcer and then straight into the show. In today's world you'd get the announcer waffling on about what's coming on later and tomorrow and then finally announcing the show that's about to come on.... then you'd get an annoying sponsorship advert for whoever is sponsoring the show.... then you'd get a preview of "coming up on tonight's blind date".... and then FINALLY theme music would start. I miss how much simpler and more relaxing it was to watch tv when you weren't bombarded with information all the time.
@@JustLoveForMe yeah! It’s crazy what memories this show brings back… my dad doing his tie in the hallway mirror; the smell of my mum’s perfume; remnants of a Chinese takeaway haha
She chose him because she was ordered to. The candidates are not allowed to choose who they want. The whole show is rigged and scripted. An undercover journalist went on the show once and found it all out.
When the world was normal. Normal lads and ladies looking for love. No leftist bollocks, transgender pandering, gender identity pandering. A program with humour catering for 99.9999 percent of the population
This just brought back memories, almost in tears. Need to get my son to watch this. This was my young late brothers favourite show, sad to know even Ceila is gone. This use to make our saturdays. I don't watch TV anymore but u-tube videos, decided to search for blind date and saw this it has made my evening and am gonna go back to every single episode documented.
Did the contestants know the questions beforehand? If I had to think of a corny response to their questions off the top of my head, I'd totally balls it up 😬🥴
Still cannot believe our Cilla has passed, I think she would of wanted to go early though because she hated getting old.. Queen of Saturday night TV, not like the trash we have now
I wonder how they found people who are so confident on TV! They all 'get' the format, are all up for a laugh, and even have some good puns and jokes. I imagine a lot of people would get very nervous and shy once they got in front of the cameras.
They did bring the show back it was on Channel 5 hosted by Paul O'Grady as he was a lifelong friend of Cilla Black I thought Paul did a great job but he can't bring back Cilla Black.
Blaaady ell! That was 26yrs ago! They must be in their mid-late 50s now (or a bit older). I wonder if the contestants have found this footage here on RU-vid.
it came as quiet a shock to learn that our cilla black had died, all I could think of was blind date and surprise surprise, her catchphrase was will have a lorra lorra lorra laughs, and bye chuck another catchphrase, it was that long alog cilla marked 60years in the business with paul o grady,he called her his sister, now t dotes on her 3 lovely sons Robert bobbi and jack carry on in her memory I wish blind date come back one show to miss and see once again. I will always love u cilla it was a joy to see Sheridan smith playing u too xxxxxxxxxxx
matt birch Speaking of Paul O'Grady and Blind Date, as above, it's coming back on Channel 5 with Paul hosting it. It will be on our screens this year. Yay! 😃
The years is 2021.....It would not work for todays standards anymore. Its a different World now I'm afraid.... And millennials need Naked Attraction or Temptation Island to be entertained. If you were there in 20s in the 90s like I was, you would understand.
oh my gosh, anyone else here thinking the same thing when we compare the date to the opening credits, I remember these credits being the new credits, not only the animations but the theme tune is also new, I'm pretty sure this was the new updated tune. Anyway, my gosh.
Her choosing him is proof (if it were needed) that most women prefer to date a guy who's got money and they won't date a guy going on a life together to make it. They want the money and not the hard work to make it (as a pair, I mean).
