I find the game rule’s to be weirdly presented. You have a tutorial book that ‘teaches’ you the flow of the game. From there you have a Glossary (what the game calls a rulebook) and a book of keywords (what the game calls the handbook). Beyond the tutorial book, the only way to learn the details of the game are to read individual parts of the glossary. It seems like they are trying to follow the way FFG handles their books, except that the tutorial book is NOT the same as the FFG’s Learn to Play. The LtP teaches you the basics of the games by explains why you’re doing what you’re doing. NAR tutorial book instructs you to move your hero from this square to another square and to make an attack with X dice. It’s a very different learning/instruction process. I hope it ends up working for players, but I suspect having to learn the game from a glossary is going to be difficulty for some.
