Now Destroyed Antonov AN-225 Takeoff at Billund Airport - Worlds Biggest Airplane

Watch the last ever takeoff of this aircraft, which is now destroyed as a result of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
First time visit of this Soviet built beast in Billund, Denmark. Only one An-225 was ever produced, which was designed to carry the Soviet space shuttle, hence the unusual tail design.
Watch UR-82060 do its engine start, taxi and takeoff as it heads back to the base in Kiev, Ukraine. The flight originated in Tianjin, China with a fuel stop in Kyrgistian, bringing Covid test-kits to Northern Europe.

i might not have seen it on personal nor do i live there, it really sucks that such a masterpiece was destroyed when it was just chillin' in it's hangar. Rest in peace Mriya you did your best transporting packages and helping Ukraine ;(

God I wish I had seen this beauty take off, it visited my country some years back. What a beautiful piece of aviation history. Very upsetting to hear this news and see the aftermath of what happened, she is just a shell of what she was. This is a nice video seeing the plane ascend into the clouds and slowly disappear, very powerful. Thank you for posting this video. Rest in peace Mriya.

I don't give a fuck who says "it was just a plane, think about the lives that have been lost". Hundreds or thousands of people in that plane dedicated their lives to it and now they see a large and important part of their lives destroyed by an avoidable war.

I agree. It is a plane, but it is still extremely upsetting. People losing their lives is upsetting too of course. But I think it is still fair to be upset at the loss of this marvel of a plane. The largest in the world. All of the achievements with it and records broken.

@@Angie-Pants You need to understand that people being upset about this plane does not automatically mean they don't give a shit about the humans in the war. Assuming people don't care about the humans is callous and honestly quite rude. The whole war is upsetting and horrible and people are allowed to be upset at whatever they want to. This plane was a symbol and special for many people. There is nothing wrong with mourning that.

How do we know this was the final ever takeoff before its fate struck? Did you check flight radar? Edit: I just checked. It really was the final ever takeoff. This is actually really saddening.
