The brown durian is from the durian tree at highland which get a lot of sun light. Anyway the colour will not affect the quality of the durian. But the older the durian tree, the better the durian.

iChang if u guys have plan to visit Malaysia next year during durian season, then i suggest u make a visit to a durian farm in Balik Pulau, Penang from late May till July, or Raub, Pahang from July till August. some of the farms are also turned into durian @ agro-tourism, where resorts or chalets are built for guests to stay & they are able to tour the farm & enjoy fresh fruits at any time. it's a unique, calm & enjoyable experience.

i found that the banner of the shop is having a wrong word for pahang's chinese name the chinese name is called as 彭亨 not 彭享 the sound can be feeled that when the person is shake, for sound is hard to hear if the slide is full of durian, if small and a lot of space , the sound is huge. the durian's thorn can be more sharp/spiky when near the durian is grow put the some fertilizer with calcium, that batch of durian will become like that.

I'm suggesting you guys next year on Durian season going to Penang Durian Farm at Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can eat the fresh durian with 6 flavour. You’ll have the chance to taste the numbing flavour of durian. This is a unique flavour that disappears in 1-2 hours after the durian has dropped. Once you taste it, you will never forget.

Jimmy n Ichang...the darker color durian r from the high hill variety from Raub pahang..the green color one I cannot b sure...as this musang King has been grown all over Malaysia...go for the Raub variety.. they r the best.. because of the soil.🙏🙏

Next time you go to Malaysia, you should go to Durian orchard. Experience waiting durian to fall to the ground and eat it fresh under the tree. The taste will be more delicious
