Everyone is talking about Bob, but like- can we just acknowledge how good Ashe's voice actor does? She legitimately sounds upset when she talks about how everyone needs a family.

Ashe is a softie at heart. She never had loving parents, so she considers the deadlock gang her “family”. One of her dialogues is “I always stick up for my crew”. She kept a picture of her and McCree on her motorcycle, despite having a grudge on him for abandoning the gang to escape a prison sentence. She held back on hurting McCree too much in the reunion video, saying that she should’ve shot him when she had the chance in the aftermath. They’re confirmed to not have dated in the past, so maybe they had a platonic best friend relationship, or Ashe saw him as a brother. Having him leave the deadlock gang just like that probably hurt her a lot.

B.O.B is that one friend who actually gives you all the answers on all your homework

After reading the book, it’s cool to see these scenes play out in the story. - Bob making her favorite chocolate cake - The fight with the Bonney brothers and her getting blamed for it - Ashes red motorcycle - bob waiting in the rain after she gets out of jail If you have any interest in the lore, I would definitely recommend Deadlock Rebels. The book is a pretty simple and easy reading level, but I think it’s cool to read how the deadlock gang started

Ashe and her Battery Operated Boyfriend aka B.O.B.

Her and Sombra are interesting to compare. Sombra was orphaned by war, Ashe left her family by choice. Sombra was taken in by a gang, Ashe formed her own gang. Sombra was forced to teach herself how to hack in order to survive, Ashe used skills she learned from her parents' business (per her bio). Sombra erased her own identity and was forced into hiding when she was found out, Ashe aimed to be a wanted criminal in order to become an outlaw legend. Sombra is a loner who prioritizes herself, Ashe is a leader who prioritizes her "family". Sombra steals information, Ashe steals physical valuables. Very different takes on the same sort of character concept (wanted thief).

Ashe is a hero based around having great aim right? I feel like 90% of Ashe mains won’t be able to shoot water in the ocean. Just a guess.

Development for Ashe was the fastest of any hero in Overwatch by far. She was initially an extra for the McCree/Echo cinematic, but when the team saw the design, they immediately worked on implementing her as a hero. She's the miracle baby of Overwatch.

The touching story of an over worked, under appreciated butler who had to keep a spoiled brat from killing herself. Truely a tale of courage and endurance, of a sense of duty and loyalty. Bob truely is an inspirational character ;)

Everybody needs a family. Because, it's not fair facing the world alone. I don't care how tough you think you are, they should always be there for support. No matter what. In the best of times, they will arm you with the tools to succeed. And in the worst of times, they will understand when things don't really go the way you planned. Now some people are lucky enough to be born into the perfect family. Others, well, they go out & make one on their own. And once you've done that, anything is possible if everyone pulls their own weight. So, if you want to be part of my family, I do have one little rule. I actually love this villain origin story (she’s meant to be a villain yeah?) because it blends a perfect mix of both creating sympathy but also unease.

Notice how the uniform she wore at school is very similar to the outfit she normally wears. My guess is that she felt that her school was a happy place-so far away metaphorically from her likely abusive and absentee home life. She probably wears the school uniform as a homage to the happier times of her life.

What’s so wholesome about this that bob was ashes parent he always cared about her and even joined her gang that just shows that bob loves her and will always take care of her

So Ashe is a spoiled and lonely rich girl with a criminal profile that with the help of her Omnic butler made a gang of badass thieves that included McCree, and is currently stealing cargo from high security trains? Sombra is going to have fun researching these renegades.

I may be a little late to the party, but I just got into this game like last week. And I have to say, these heroes are awesome. I can't get enough of these backstory videos! The art style is amazing, like a graphic novel. The voice acting is beautiful, and the vibes and ambience are top tier. Gotta love the found family trope in this one :D
