Electric Callboy are the most flat-out entertaining band in the world right now. Their songs are all bangers and their live shows are as close to a mass metal rave as you'll ever get.

A collab would be gold, just saying. Two bands that perfected the seriousness of the preposterous.

Love these guys - they take being silly very seriously and you can tell they love what they do. Their social media content is also top notch.

They have become one of my favorite bands. Making metal fun is always a plus.

Electric Callboy is the 2023 band of the year. They are smashing the festival scene this year, especially the Download festival, metal fans raving, ..its a vibe. I love the fusion of two very opposite genres, and it creates this fun, party atmosphere for everyone. It seems Germany has found its scene of humour, and to me, it's very Liverpool humour. Over the years, I've seen many of these styles of unsigned bands coming from Liverpool unground, mainly Lipa students, etc. Them not taking themselves seriously, showing cheesy dancing. Its definitely their year They do a really "sensible" song called Prism, which lyrically talks to alot of neurodiverse people

I saw them this year and last year live. Last year was like a 3000 people venue and this year they filled an arena with like 15000 people or something like that. It was just amazing, these guys put so much effort into their music and the live shows as well. You can't stop smiling through the whole concert and your war home. It is just an amazing experience

i fell into a rabbit hole when i found these guys... they range all over the place. they got their goofy awesome vids, songs that bring you back to 2000with songs like fckboi, to cover like this one and their more serious songs like mindreader. amazing band.

Regarding the "original", it's by Cascada (another German band), though that song itself borrows the chorus from the song by the same name by Maggie Reilly. Fun fact - the drummer, David Friedrich, won the German edition of "The Bachelorette" in 2017. I think he also has a signature move that he does in every video. The video is basically just a massive in-joke about the bromance between the singers Nico and Kevin.

The castle in that video looked amazing with the lighting, and it’s probably the perfect on screen portrayal of their whirlwind bromance. Honestly, the name change when Nico joined the band was the way to go. At this point I almost forget the old name, and love what they’re doing. The two brothers responsible for the videos pretty amazing as well. More modern day bands need to realize that you can’t just make entertaining videos for your singles, like they got away with back in the MTV era, and these guys have videos with this level of production quality for almost, if not every song off their latest album.

Love these guys, their aggressive happiness is a cure all. Genuinely great version of this song, been listening to this non stop since it was released, and the video is a crack up. They do top notch serious music too. Their videos are produced by the Schillo brothers, one of them, Pascal Schillo is their guitarist. Also thank you for your commitment to not smoke on camera, and hope the cutting back goes well, no, it’s not good for the lungs, as my dad could attest to had the lung cancer not won.

I absolutely adore this band. They're very talented musicians, who take their art seriously, but crucially, they don't take themselves seriously. They're a breath of fresh air in this depressing world.

The thing I liked about their name change is that some fans pointed out that Eskimo can be considered a slur, which they weren't aware of since its an acceptable funny word in German. They looked into it, made a few videos about why its not a word we should use, and then revealed their name change. I personally like Electric Callboy as a name because its still fun, but it references the energy they bring to their performances. Also Kevin has nice legs. Now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it and its causing a little crisis over here.

I took my other half to see these guys as revenge for George Ezra, she's a bigger fan than I am now, this band helped me get through covid when I was stuck in a bubble of one.

Nico has the perfect voice, he is the best thing to happen to Electric callboy, and music in general. Kevin is just a great guy all round, I somehow had a conversation with him comparing the ridiculous behaviour of cats and toddlers 😆

Electric Callboy also produce their own videos. The production company for most of their recent videos is Schillo Bros, one half of which is the guitarist in the band.

Anyway, Electric Callboy! They are awesome and the last time I checked, they not only mix their own stuff but the rhythm guitarist and his brother direct a lot of the videos. I think most bands are good at one or more parts of being a band but they sometimes need an adult for the boring stuff, like a producer, agent, manager, whatever. Electric Callboy is a band who are their own adults as well as being an amazing creative force.

The original original song was actually by Maggie Reilly- she who sang on Mike Oldfield's 'Moonlight Shadow'. Whilst Cascada changed the verses for their dance version, the basic tune and the choruses are very similar. Just thought I'd mention. Electric Callboy have, as they always, stepped it up a couple of notches and are superb at what they do and you can't help but love them

Thanks for reacting to this! Electric Callboy is great fun. Just the right mixture of 'nice' and the screaming stuff (which I don't usually listen to.) Apparently the 2006 version, which they are covering, isn't entirely original either; EC is crediting Maggie Reilly for her song from 1992.

Electric Callboy are great BECAUSE the *fun* just oozes from their music, video or else wise.

EC have been perhaps my favours and of the past couple of years. Everything they do, they do with heartfelt belief in the material - regardless of how ridiculous it may be (Hurrikan!) Finally getting to catch them live in October, and it can’t come quick enough.

The OG song was a deep house track, mid 00's maybe? I remember being on dance floors with it anyway. Love this cover. I saw these guys last year, their mosh was intensely fun!
