Actually Pau broke the internet at the age of 10, 2 years before this video was recorded. My Life Would Suck-Cobus Version. Cobus is a South African drummer famous for his distinctive style of complicated drum covers of more simple originals. Pau played his version. Not once but twice. The 1st take had to be abandoned when they saw that one of the cameras was off. 10 year old Pau broke down. Mony had to come down and comfort her inconsolable daughter. She stayed on throughout the 2nd take. We can see her feet in the mirror. No wonder Pau was besides herself with joy once she pulled it off again. In 2021, Metallica asked 53 artists (including The Warning) to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was also asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do, as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They got David Bendeth (who mixed their latest album Error) to produce it. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. Yep, 14, 12, and 9. The bass Ale is using is 3/4 scale. They did this for their family and friends, only posted on RU-vid because the file was too big to email. They went on vacation , and came back to find it had blown up. Metallica saw it, with Kirk sayin that the drummer kicked maximum a$$. Pau does hit hard, she has broken sticks many times, even broken drum heads. That's their basement home studio in Mexico, usually referred to as The Warning Cave. I heard their Dad sold his motorcycle to build it. Check out the reimagined version of this song they did for the Metallica Blacklist album with Canadian singer Alessia Cara. And then the live version at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022.

Pau was a hard hitter from the jump. She had a reputation that spawned a nickname in her close circle, a name that she hated. “The shredder”. It had nothing to do with her playing the kit. The name came from the fact that she broke everything she touched. To be more kind, you would describe her as heavy handed in a literal sense. Her playing style was born from necessity. She never had a starter kit, and she was described as “looking like a toddler” when she started playing her adult sized drums. She needed to put her entire body into playing, to get a proper sound, which seemed a healthy outlet for her high energy personality.

Many people discovered and had been warned with this video. personally I discovered the video around 2015 because one of my children sent me the link Pau hit hard since she played drums because she always had an adult drum kit. They played at a school Christmas concert, and chose the Argent song God gave Rock and Roll to you, which KISS also covered. They started EVEN younger on classical piano - musical prodigies from birth!

They grow up watching classic RnR concerts (Queen, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd, AC/DC and so on) since their parents are big fans of RnR. Watching classic RnR concerts was THE family pastime. Obviouly RnR and the whole thing ingrained into their souls since they were babies.

My family is all over the place and by far never got along as beautiful as these sisters do, now I've known many many families and to have a talented menber in it it's pretty much the norm because from there you get the black sheeps and half black sheeps 😂 but with the Villarreal family all three extremely gifted it requires extremely positive guidance from both parents. So yes this should be a Hallmark movie and there should be books written about Luis and Monica The Warning parents for other parents around the world to follow. There’s another seminal performance that every fan of The Warning should watch. Their 2017, three song, 18.5 minute TedX “ concert” at the University of Nevada. The musicianship is awesome, but the way all three of them address the crowd between the songs is equally impressive. Twelve year old Ale, intuitively talking about the connection between Trust and Love always makes me smile.

You'll be stunned by how The Warning and Alessia Cara remade the song, there definitely is nothing like it....

Although there is amazing talent involved, it must not be unstated just how many hours of practice went into this single performance. The Warning are where they are today due to tens of thousands of hours of dedicated and persistent practice both on their individual instruments and together as a band. The next logical one would be there Muse Hysteria cover performed at Liceo, there school. You'll really get to see how good Ale is at this age.

You're right of course about the obvious talent...anyone who took 5 minutes to watch them play could see the existing age-appropriate talent and potential to come.

The first time I saw this I was blown away by Paus intensity on the drums and concentration! All are great, and much love to them for their future as rock stars.

At that time it was the beginning of a successful career.
