I'll have to revisit the Laws regarding double movements. Arm carrying the ball touches the ground short of the try line . . . or is this not applied if player still has momentum - even if he lifts that arm off the ground and plants the ball over the line (which is basically what a double movement is)?

Sharks need to improve a lot, they haven’t beat a single Top 8 team this year and when coming up against the bottom-ladder team they only beat them by 24? Cowboys not even in top 8 and beat the Tigers senseless! Sharks lucky they get the best draws every year 🤦🏻‍♂

When commentators say you can’t stop the big men from two metres out they are wrong. Want to learn how to tackle Watch Ray Price and analyse what he is doing. There is also a simple way to stop the diving winger over the corner post from scoring
@kotukuwhakapiko467
@kotukuwhakapiko467 11 месяцев назад
Make the width of field less ?
@peterkaye1900
@peterkaye1900 11 месяцев назад
@@kotukuwhakapiko467 interesting thought but it actually has something to do with technique and execution For the last 30 years tackling coaches have concentrated on closing down the ball and so you tackle waist to chest high with no forward momentum. If the defender is the same weight but does not have the same forward momentum then who is going to go forward. Try and work the rest out for yourself It’s simple physics
@peterkaye1900
@peterkaye1900 10 месяцев назад
Agree with all you are saying but attacking players always run harder with the ball at the try line than the defender trying to stop them. Defender has to hit the attacker below the knee at the same force as the attacker is coming. No matter how big the attacker,the smallest defender (technique correct) will take the legs from under him (or her) and the tackle will be effected before the line The same thing occurs when a high ball is kicked to the corner. The attacking side is moving more aggressively toward the ball and that ensures they will more often be able to take the ball in the air or pick up the crimson. To stop the diving winger in the corner you don’t tackle but take the space on the try line where he is going to put the ball down . Held up. Tackling lower down only sends the body further out but doesn’t stop the arms and ball head for just inside the the corner post

People always complain about the Sharks only beating bottom feeder teams, well at least they’re winning the games they’re supposed to and winning them pretty convincingly in the end, have we forgotten that earlier in the year the Tigers beat Penrith, the Bulldogs beat Melbourne and the Dragons beat Souths, the ladder keeps changing week in week out, they’ve beaten Parramatta who are now comfortably in the 8 without Hynes after being down 10-0 in the first 5 mins, they’ve beaten the Roosters who at the time were in the 8, they’ve beaten Manly who at one point were also in the 8, and they’ve beaten the Cowboys 44-6 who are now flying high. I don’t get this “they can’t beat top 8 teams mentality” Last year they beat 4/7 teams in the 8 which were Cowboys, Souths, Melbourne and Parramatta in the regular season. The reason they bowed out in straight sets last year was because they played a 93min game and were gassed when they played Souths the following week, losing a game like that also mentally drains a team, they had the game won against the Cowboys but choked in the last 30 seconds when Taumalolo scored making it 30-30 at full time. Everyone complains about them having soft draws, well don’t the other top teams also play the bottom 8/9 teams aswell and as I mentioned earlier do they win those games that they’re supposed to win, heading into the last 8 rounds the Sharks play Souths, Panthers, Warriors and Cowboys (off the back of a bye) all away, so tell me again how that is a soft draw heading into the back end of the season.

How Hynes is not in the NSW side?
@daleviker5884
@daleviker5884 11 месяцев назад
Needs to beat a top 8 team first, then beat them consistently, then win a finals game, then win big games consistently. Like other players have to. All Hynes has shown so far is that he can steer teams to wins over the tigers and bulldogs and dragons, who the Sharks seem to play about 6 times each every season. Hynes played two finals last year and Cronulla were eliminated in straight sets. If Origin ever changes to be NSW v Wests, then Hynes will be the guy.
@nigga-cadoavacado69
@nigga-cadoavacado69 11 месяцев назад
Also, Hynes just doesn’t have the intensity. Take Liam Martin as an example. Is he the best backrower? No, there other backrowers out there that can outmanoeuvre and out skill Liam in many different areas, but he’s in the blues side because he wears heart on his sleeve every single game. Hynes can’t play with that intensity. After all State of Origin and NRL are two very different playing fields
@BenWick-oc8pv
@BenWick-oc8pv 11 месяцев назад
Because if he was in the NSW team and scored that try it would be disallowed and penalised. However as the 14th man and back up half in Game 1 he should have been given the spot ahead of Moses for Game 2 and Walker in Game 3
@BenWick-oc8pv
@BenWick-oc8pv 11 месяцев назад
When will they stop refereeing the table??????? First try, the touch judge misses a blatantly forward pass and then the ref and Bunker miss an obvious double movement. Touchie and Ref miss a clear push in lead up to try but Bunker gets one right. Then Tigers denied a try because of a debatable knock-on and a few sets later Sharks score by Ramien pushing player out of the way. Both close calls but with 15 minutes to go and a 10 point margin Talikai does a blatant professional foul on tackle one after a 30 metre break and no sin bin. Of course the last two "tries" need no comment

1st Try Was Not Forward Look At Where It Was Passed & Where It Landed, 2nd There Was No Double Movement... It Was Momentum. Not A Sharks Fan But This Is The Issue With Nrl Fans All Just Whining & Moaning But Not Having The Intelligence To Understand The Game.

@@shayandaryan Are you serious or are you trying to be funny? You claim others lack intelligence to understand the game but clearly that deficiency applies to you. Did you pay any attention in school when your Science teacher talked about momentum or motion theory. Have you watched Rugby League before this season because double movements are getting as common as obstructions. Ricky Stuart 1st raised the problem of decisions based on position on the table back when he was coaching the Eels. Are you an American tourist who voted for Trump?
