Love the podcast lads, been watching every episode for the last year now after watching clips off tik tok. Malaysian fan based in Exeter, UK. The LEVELS Network reach is crazy! Got me watching most NRL games every weekend now consistently. Been wanting to get into trying out playing league at an amateur level, but not sure if at the age of 22 it might be too late to learn. Grew up playing soccer, but have been keen to give rugby league a shot just for a bit of fun on the weekends based off how much I enjoy watching it. Any advice on how to start off would be unreal boys🙌🏼
Had a mate go up to Terry in the city once at a restaurant and say G day. Terry turned and said “ How you going mate haven’t seen you in ages. What are you up to. Told him still concreting. Then he asked how his business was going getting plenty of work. You are that’s good. Went on for about another 10 minutes shook hands and went there separate ways. My mate had never met him before. There's a lot of teams that have promise but key reshuffles are required going forward. Gone are the days when the top clubs had cohesive spines and strong leaders in the forward packs. There's been a generational shift in not only talent but experience. A lot of the best and smartest minds to play footy have left the game and only a few remain as on field leaders. SJ, DCE, Reno & even the JWH's of the world a few and far between in todays game. Salary caps are disproportionate to the level of talent available and recruitment is marred by the constant rule changes around it. I understand empowering the players is important but the essence of the game gets impeded on when the money becomes paramount to the actual quality of the game. I don't even really blame the players, more so the business that binds them. Makes ya feel sorry for coaches like Trent Robbo when the future of the club (Manu and Sua'ali'i) switch codes because it's a better financial opportunity. Maybe that speaks to the behemoth that Rugby Union is but I think more could be done to facilitate the infrastructure of franchise building. Contracts with weight stipulations (Wtf?), Rule changes like the disruptor (Why?), inconsistencies in 6-agains and obstruction calls, over use of the bunker etc The officials have stopped officiating and started managing the game and it can get tiresome sometimes. Long winded rant over. Love the pod, S/O to Uncle Wiremu & Koro Horo. Up the wahs!

Hey boys, listened since day 1 before the name change from Halifax UK become my favourite poddy, bit of a different question… I know you guys are not physios/doctors but listened to Anthony Minichello speaking about his injuries and changed a lot of things since being told he had to retire to then come back and win a GF with the chooks, have you boys ever had certain injuries like meniscus tear, brakes, ligaments damage etc and has it ever played on your mind coming back from it ? also did you do certain things to make that injured part become stronger and if not better than before ? Currently nursing a meniscus tear tuning in to the pod every week helping me get through it 😅 Thanks boys Jordan
Hey boys hope youse are well! Question for the poddy: has there ever been Aus v nz international games on ANZAC day? Would love to see them play eachother maybe every 2-3 years or more (making sure not to interfere with the World Cup year) if it can’t be done every year. They could introduce an ANZAC Day cup or shield that the 2 countries play for, similar to how they have the Bledisloe cup for Union. The NRL can still have their club matches for ANZAC Day but maybe start the weekend of footy off with the Kangaroos vs the Kiwis then the rest of the games follow. I’ve got no idea if something like this has been done before but thought it’d be a good event the NRL could pull off. Cheers boys ✌🏽
Question for you guys following the comments on Kasey Badger making quick decisions. Watching the Panthers and Cows game. I was questioning her decisions as she seemed to almost always be making calls from behind the play where every other ref I have noticed tried to stay infront of the play. Could this explain some of the strange snap decisions she makes? Obviously not her bunker decisions but the in play decisions.
I read a story 3 or 4 weeks ago and Jett Cleary said he wanted to stay at Penrith, he mentioned family and club as the reasons. The warriors must have offered big dollars.

So obviously with KP (Levi pongas cousin iykyk) out for what uncle wiremu recommends is the rest of the season, which give or take they most likely aren’t going to be pushing for finals so what’s the point in rushing him back. Would a kid like Sua Fa’alogo be a smart player to chase as a single year loan from the storm, they’ve done it in the past with Harry Grant making his debut for the tignation in 2020, gives Adam O’Brien a quality (admittedly without much nrl experience but looked a player) option at the fullback position and probably the best option around for the year, give Sua the nrl experience of the week to week grind of first grade. Seems like a win, win for me.
Question: You are the Panthers and have to replace a starting winger, five-eighth and prop. One can be a million dollar player, one ~500k and one a minimum wager - depth aside (i.e. you have to pick up a starter in each position), how do you prioritize these positions for Penrith specifically?

I think Jett Cleary moving to NZ is the smartest decision he could make. The media in Sydney would have turned him making grade into an absolute soap opera based on who his father and brother are. In Nz he is a lot more protected and can focus on developing as a player, under some great talent like SJ who I believe will continue to work with Cleary post career. I have a fantasy Question also if able to answer - if Nathan Cleary come to the bulldogs where would we finish on the table? Do you think he would make that much of a difference? But what’s your thoughts on Papi as NSW fullback? Depending on what you’re looking for to suit a game plan I think he would be perfect, he’s got a great balance of running game/ball playing. Scope, the feeling I get about manly is - they have all the attacking ability in the world, Harlem globetrotter stuff. But they have a mistake in them. Too many. I remember the great Steve Hansen saying one time that unforced errors are usually a result of not having a clear picture and/or staying present in the moment of execution. Sup Fellas, Hope you’re well! Bit of talk in the media about rewarding legs tackles and head knocks. There was some good talk around particularly when a centre or winger gets rewarded with a quick play the ball when a good well coached tackle is made. Personally I like this idea but my concern is that this may encourage the play to end up back in the middle of the field and there be increased contact and thus more head knocks. I’m wondering what your thoughts are on this? Is there room for a discussion around potentially making the 10 a bit shorter to allow for this faster? Ps Can we start penalising surrender tackles? PPS. When are the tough MF’s going to settle down off the kick off and use good technique so this kick off debate dies!
Everyone plays their best when they play the 3x champs.. with that being said, if Panthers have an on game.. they can blow any team off the park. Panthers 19+ Cleary masterclass onways.
Question for you legends that I think you’d like. Me and my mates have discussed this before and think it’ll be much better than international rugby league. What if they brought back a tri nations sort of style and the three teams are an Indigenous/Māori team e.g. Latrell, Jahrome Hughes, Hynes , Fisher-Harris etc. Pacific Islands team (Samoa, Tonga, Fiji) and then a NZ/AUS European. E.g. Cleary, Murray, Grant, SJ. What do you guys think? I reckon it would be a well evenly matched tournament and a great watch.

Cowboys were the only team that dismantled the bulldogs of 2004. I said all year. Put constant high kicks to matt utai. No team did it. Only cowbows week 1 of semis. I reckon cowboys would of beaten them in gf as well. But bulldogs just won it really. 16 to 13 v roosters.
