NRSV C.S. Lewis Bible Unboxing and Initial Impressions

Oh my mom would be loving this one. I think she’s read almost all of his works. This would make a great Christmas present for her. Thank you for sharing this. I haven’t seen it before now 😃

It's a lovely Bible, but I prefer a good Study Bible. I'm also a verse by verse and even though it has the "comfort print", I find I need a large print - like, 12 point? :)

Hello my friend, hope you are well! Really like that bible and readability with nice dark font of the NRSV comfort print (my fave of all the comfort prints)! A very nice upgrade from the original CS Lewis NRSV edition that came out years ago, this is much nicer and easier to read. I enjoyed all his Chronicles of Narnia book series. Beautifully shot video girl & love, love your table! 🤭😁💙

I'm only a little familiar with his work. In 3rd grade my teacher read us "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" during milk break/nap time. Yeah, that long ago when that actually took place(mid 70's). It was a fantastic book, but I never read any of his other works. That Bible looks very nice though, especially the cover and that gold metallic inside liner. I always appreciate a good 10pt font, but I do wish they had added another ribbon marker. I'm sure there will be many C.S. Lewis fans clambering for this one. Have a blessed day my friend!

I do not own a NRSV and I’m not familiar with it at all but this is a pretty Bible. I like the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. Looking forward to the full review 😊

A nice way to pay tribute to the great author. Some folks may not appreciate this but those who are fans of his work will like this one. I like seeing these new Bibles. I’ll watch the full review. I try to watch every video you post 😊

I love that cover. I've seen some leathersoft or Trutone covers that looks really nice that if I had them I don't think I'd change them, only change the liner to a vinyl or something sturdier, but keep the over. I know genuine leather and calfskin, cowhide, buffalo and goatskin leather last much longer and are floppier and nicer, but for those of us who cannot afford them, these leathlike covers are amazing. I've never read the nrsv and I understand from another RU-vid video that they are updating the text this year, but it seems a translation that is used a lot in scholarly circles. I might give it a look on the Internet. There are so many Bibke translations I get confused at times. I try to stick to one or two at the most and for me that's the ESV and NKJV. But other people, and that's quite okay, will read everything and then of course you have the KJV O people which is another matter all to itself. The idea of the CS Lewis Bible isn't novel idea as you have the Spurgeon Study Bible, some will like it some won't, but having read a few of his books myself, I see that much of of his writings are allegorical to the Christian message of salvation. The Chronicles of Narnia series is his take on life from the creation of the world (in this case Narnia) to the judgement and eternal life. This is not a bad idea really as long as those who read it read it like they'd read any other devotional bible or commentary. Nice, really nice Bible and layout.

I'm curious when you get to the review of this one: Is the Comfort Print BY Zondervan and not by 2K Denmark? I'm interested in this Bible because I do get much from C.S. Lewis's writings. But the font always catches my eye. I don't want to say "Comfort Print" when I mean 2K Denmark's specific fonts if Zondervan has an exclusive on "Comfort Print". Thank you, BBC!!!

I Bought this but had to return it after realizing that the font size wouldn't be comfortable for me (especially the notes). It's such a shame as I really wanted this. I don't know why publishers seem to make the 'normal' font size to be 10 or less. It should be at least 11.0 in my opinion.
