I came back to watch this five years later for Guilty Gear: Strive because the content and concepts are so well articulated and is incredibly well delivered.
I love videos like this. The amount of information you convey while remaining easy to understand is amazing and it really helps to know this kind of thing both when playing and writing about the game. I'd even go as far as to say what you lack in an upload schedule you make up for in quality that exceeds that of Izaw.

Very good explanation of the neutral game. Been playing FGs (Street Fighter mainly) for a while and I eventually learned all these concepts but their meanings got lost to muscle memory. Thanks for reminding me and good work on making this.

Can't stress the importance of adaptation enough. I often find myself and others looking for a set way to handle a match up as opposed to having a base idea and expanding upon that base as a match goes on, allowing you to learn your opponent as opposed to just the character.
Besides neutral, what are the other phases of Smash? I loved your video a lot, but could you speak a little louder at the end of your sentences? You tend to trail off at the end of some of them.
lately I've been trying to keep my eye on the opponent, similar to what you mentioned in 9:20. Holy crap, no joke, its quite difficult. For me anyway. Old habits really do die hard

The Japanese word for neutral isn't 中性 it's 立ち回り (tachimawari). 中性 is more representative of concepts like 'androgyny'. Not a huge deal, but just something to note! Great video!
