Nucletronics is a local Danish company, i think this unit one is from 1980,
the software is from 1986,
16bit CPU TMS9900, support chips TMS9901
Detector Geiger tube, or Photo Multiplier depending on usage,
I think this one is for welding or leakage checking using radioactive source,
please correct me if you know more.
use wayback machine and look up nucle dot dk for a bit more info.

I use auto generated subs, i am sorry there are a few spelling errors,
maybe one day they can do it better..

(Thanks to all my Sponsors / Traders / Swappers / Sellers / Buyers, without your support and constant flow of cool items in/out, none of this would be possible)

The extra sensor is a scintillator detector. They are something like 100 times more sensitive than a Geiger-Müller tube. The PMT looks really nice. No filament inside, just high voltages and multiplication of the photo electrons. They can be sensitive enough to do single photon counting. Here they would get pulses from the scintillator with a size depending on the gamma energy. So far the parts don't look broken - maybe the transistors, but that part would be fixable. It still needs a pretty stable high voltage (e.g. 800 V - depends on the PMT) supply.

Processor set of boards is an early embedded controller, all in Eurocard format, so you had a full microcomputer, in a format that was expandable, with a common backplane, all off the shelf. Printer is also an off the shelf part, likely a Sharp printer mechanism in the industrial controller housing, very common in industry as a very low part count, but incredibly reliable, and also capable of printing graphics in addition to text, using some firmware on the microcontroller, as a blob in ROM.

The thing in the front is a Nal(TI) crystal that converts gamma radiation into light.

That's a scintillator detector. Perhaps the whole instrument was used in gamma spectroscopy...
