Something about that quote stood out to me, so beautiful, it's so easy to get caught up in the darkness and divisions in the world forgetting that we can all come together and laugh or sit in awe at a piece of art or music. We're all human at the end of the day and deserve to treat each other with love, compassion, and dignity for the sake of everyone's benefit. A society where we look and care for our fellow people and instead of the rapid descent into polarization, division, isolation, and mistrust that is currently spreading. It's in all our best interests to come together and yield that collective power to help change our society for the better instead of focusing on arbitrary banners and descending into a dog-eat-dog, everybody for themselves nihilism while the pieces of the pie are gobbled up mercilessly by the 1% of the 1%. Black or white, gay or straight. whatever it be you have more in common with your fellow citizen navigating our society to survive than any of the ruling class who uses politics to keep us divided and focused on division than realizing we can come together to truly enact change. I wish we could collectively remember we all have more in common than we think, moments just like this quote. that reinforce and propel that faith in humanity.
