Nulaxy In-Car Bluetooth FM Transmitter Review KM18 T10 

I just got it and it seems to work good. I was about to spend more money on a Kenwood deck and I would have lost my steering wheel controls, but this is cheaper, easier, and I retain my steering wheel volume controls.

I've been going crazy trying to get this to work and then I found you. You are my hero!

Just researched a bunch of FM transmitters and finally bought the Nulaxy after this review. Thank you for the info and insight!

There's a lot of people out there posting this type of transmitter on RU-vid. They are showing setups, music play and phone calls. However, this is being shown only when the vehicle is at a standstill. No one is showing when the vehicle is actually moving and how it effects the quality of the reception you might have. If you live by a large city good luck finding an open station to use. When you're on the road it may have been working prior to your trip, but then one may experience distortion due to the frequency being picked up by a radio stations. A frequency setup my be good at first, but after 10 miles or so you might find yourself changing back and forth to various frequencies just to make it work. Not to mention the three volume controls you have to deal with which can effect your sound quality (radio, transmitter and cell phone volumes). The bottom line is… it can sometimes be a real pain in the butt just to get some simple music to play. Remember as they say… you buy cheap you get cheap.

My local walmart neighborhood market had this for $20. Love it. It’s just regular Bluetooth headset like device, running some cellphone os and a process to convert the Bluetooth signal to fm. Works fine in a medium sized city.

Inserted SD card. It went all the way in and never stopped, How can I get it out. I can hear it rattling inside.

I’ve had my transmitter for almost a year now and while I love being able to play my music from my iPhone instead of having a mess of cds there are some things I’ve definitely noticed. These devices profoundly change the sound. They compress, and while the bass frequencies seem unchanged the device clips the treble kind of noticeably. I never liked the fact there is a major variance at work when it comes to volume, expect to crank it up to achieve equal volume, sometimes all the way up which makes your aftermarket amp work significantly harder and get hotter than usual. If you live in a major city finding an empty frequency on the FM scale can be a problem and I still have yet to find a consistent setting on the radio. You need to find three empty frequencies and optimally use the middle one if possible. Surprise! Finally find an empty setting? Sometimes stations don’t broadcast all the time which can be maddening. These things are flimsy crap, all of them. I’d be willing to pay twice the price if someone made one that wasn’t so cheap and frail and had more strength. If you have a factory radio and don’t mind the sound variance these are good, but if you have a serious system this isn’t going to cut it. I will say these are good if you don’t have a Bluetooth head unit especially when using turn by turn navigation, but yeah they change the sound a lot and you may find yourself playing cds again.

why on earth would you skip the part where you connect the device with your phone????

And, just remember when using anything in the auxiliary power outlets in your vehicle..... never use a cheap one because it has cheap parts in it. Don't be a $5 cheap@ss. And, if you ever find your vehicle running weird or won't start, remove everything from the auxiliary power outlets and then give it a try. Too many things plugged in WILL plague the electrical system of your vehicle.

can it play my MP3 music off of my USB stick or is the USB port purely a charger? Im looking for a USB audio player that plugs into the lighter for my car..dont need phone function just a straight player using USB stick if you can recommend a good one...thanks ..keep up the good work

Yeah yeah yeah, its so great and smart, but you never gonna hear in this unreliable recommendations that, if you keep leaving it plugged in when the engine is not running or what is even worse, over the night, you car battery is going to die. When I first stared to use it, it was showing something about 14.00 voltage on my car battery, after a few days of using it, and I never left it plugged in it was showing 5.00 voltage. So I figured out how to connect it to power bank. By the way reception is far from great too.

Mine changed from English to Chinese one day and I don't know how to get it back to English . I've held the power button down but it's still Chinese . Any suggestions ?

The arm attachment seems obsolete when it’s just dangling like that. It should be a firm attachment so you don’t have to hold it they way your while driving. Why don’t you have a 12V charger?

Hello! I bought this product and I tried to pair it with my Iphone 6. My bluetooth. I tried for a long time with no luck. My phone would pick up other people's bluetooth when I was doing it but not this device. Any ideas why? Thanks

Is the sound from the transmitter the same as playing a cd in your car? I bought a cheap transmitter a while ago and the sound was a shocker. Can you plug the AUX into your phone and use it that way? Is the sound better?

I used to have something similar and everytime I connected my phone and play music the static was louder than anything else and I barely heard the songs anybody knows what it could be ?

hi, coming out of the car i can let the transmiter plug in car? I have the impression that it consumes the car battery

when I turn off the car, does it stop playing the music on the phone? or the phone keeps playing until I hit pause? I drove a Ford Fusion and I liked the idea that when I turned off the car, it pauses the phone.I walk away, it disconnects of course, when I come back it connects again, and when i start the car, it plays the music whenever it stopped last time. I liked that, I'm not sure if this is provided in this Bluetooth. That happened with RU-vid, Google player, iHeart, or any media player installed on my phone.

I just would like to know if I can plug-in my flash drive where I have my music into the USB port and play my music, that is because the product description on Amazon says that the Nulaxy has a USB charger. I see you are using Google Play Music as music source. Does the device allows you to change to the next song without using your phone? I mean with the devices buttons. I'm really looking foward to get one of those and stream music from spotify.

Got this today no good, it supposed to be set at a certain station but both cars that I have won't let me set to 87.5 so I can't do Bluetooth on it because of that.Only Aux which is 107.9

So I have a 12 v input 10 v output, I was wondering if playing music and charging my phone would burn out the fuse, any help would be appreciated saying in not very versed with voltage information

I notice that when turning the car off it will remain on. Like screen lighted and marking it's searching for connection. Is it safe to leave in or not. So far it's amazing for my Ford escape 2001. Bluetooth and noise. Even a 18 month warranty. Just want to know if there's a specific way it will turn off or if it's safe to remain in.

12/9/16 2 Questions about the Nulaxy KM18 Bluetooth In-Car FM Transmitter Hello! I have 2 questions... 1. The MP3 player only works if you eject the micro SD Card and re-insert it every time you get into the car. The problem with this is that the micro SD Card will quickly become damaged and break from wear and tear. I need it to work without having to eject and re-insert the micro SD Card every time. Is my Transmitter defective, or is that how they work? Or am I doing something wrong? 2. I created a huge CD Mix comprised of 35 separate folders, each containing approximately 100 songs. The Transmitter won't recognize the data in the sub-folders. I need it to recognize the sub-folders. If it doesn't, I cannot access all of my music. I'm going on a road trip soon and would like to have this up and running ASAP, so your prompt response is appreciated. Thank you, Jaime

If you have an older car and it doesn't have an auxiliary port on the car and say I got this would I have to unplug my radio and do anything behind my radio or will it still work?

I have a question...my car has a radio without aux, usb, 3.5mm jack bluetooth..sd card.....However, the radio works but it doesn't have an Antenna....will this still play radio stations without the car antenna? is there an antenna built in to it? thx

If you're looking for a hack for better sound quality. Don't bother using FM. If your car has an aux input use the the input on the transmitter it doubles as an output for the transmitter.

This transmitter picks up other frequencies as you are driving and listening to RU-vid/music. It does this randomly and frequently, which is quite annoying. Anyone know how to stop interference from other stations?
