We trek east over the Nullabour into South Australia for a few weeks of exploring and fishing the south coast.
We hit some free camps along the way, have some friendly maggies come in for a drink and wake up to a huge pod of dolphins off the cliffs having a morning surf.
We finish up getting into Smokey Bay where we spend the next few days trying to get a feed in the tinny.

Giddy up, Hezza's are waiting! Thanks for the the chill out Vid, loved the Maggies and Dolphins footage, that was way cool. For the Record Jed "Eyre" is best practised with " I - Ry" Like as in "Eye REE" Don't let others take the micky! I shallow fry in the crab pot now - Wished I had worked that out years ago -DOH! @@oldmate_adventures Two flights cancelled, 1 blocked toilet they couldn't fix , second it was too hot at Perth airport to refuel planes. Went to Adelaide, got back yesterday! Work been flat out!

Great video as always. Brings back some memories back in 1964 I got dropped off by bus at a place called Yantanabie, I was only 14 years old and was due to start work on a sheep station, well the bus drove off and 4 or five hours later the owner turned up before I died of thirst or got sent mad with bushflies, I lived in a shearing shed on my own and mostly was a boundary rider by horseback checking fences and water troughs, I used to camp out just with a swag. It was rude awakening at my age as my family had only just emigrated from the UK, anyway I quickly learned how to ride horses. If you notice the sign Yantanabie on the Eyre Hwy just imagine being left there back in 64

Geez mate what a crazy start to your working life, especially at 14! Most 14yr olds these days wouldn't even sleep 1 night in a sheering shed! Hard times We'll keep an eye out for it on our way back for sure! Cheers Pete

Hahaha. Just take both plates mate. I hope you cleaned that mess up for Kel. My wife and i was just talking about the cliffs 2 days ago. Jeannie said you cant fish there. Im like, yep. You're right. Water would would have been dirty after that chop the day before mate. Thats why you didn't catch mate 🦑 love this vid. Awesome work, both of you. I'm not sure how i missed it. That's vintage for you hahah

Hey mate, yeah slowly getting there with the squid cookup! 🐙 Ha yeah we got a Dji Pocket 3, it's pretty good for low light and comes with a mic as wind audio is just a constant battle!

Hey there Craig, cheers mate, much appreciated! I don't really build rods to sell as it's too hard to know where we'll be to be able to post etc. Mostly just for charities these days. What sort of rod are you after, length/weight etc? I know a few rod builders in Oz depending on your budget.
