This is by far the best Oscar video I've found. If you ever decide to do a video showing how to do the mods I'll click it right away. Subscribed. Thanks man!
Great video! Very informative. Had no idea there was a programmable version of the Oscar 1. Just finished restoring an 05 model and also thinking of getting the Specialita so this really helped! I’ll be looking into these mods! Thanks again!
Good afternoon. Can you help me? I want to install on the coffee machine Nuova Simonelli Oskar L Manometer for the group (wedge 9Bar). Tell me please what kind of parts are needed per other manometer
Shower screen is an IMS 200 IM shower screen (can be ordered from many online retailers - I prefer Bluestarcoffee.eu in Ireland, I think they ship worldwide). Any 58mm basket will fit, if I remeber correctly this was a standard 18g basket...
They stopped producing it, replaced with the Oscar 2 machine maybe 4 years ago or so... Although the new version is a very similarly built machine albeit with a different look.
Sorry if this sounds naive. But what if I want to make only one coffee cup at a time ( a latte ). What do I do so that I can make one coffee cup a time.. instead of 2?
I prefer to have both the spouts pour into one cup for a stronger drink, other options would be to use a single basket with 8 or so grams of coffee, or just let half the shot run into the drip Tray.... Although I cringed writing that last suggestion...
It was only on the Oscar-T model. When the preinfusion pauses/stops it opens the three way solenoid valve which releases any pressure that built up, something to consider...
Hi! I purchased a secondhand Oscar and I've been having a little bit of trouble with steam power consistency after changing to a LM tip. If you could spare any time and help me diagnose any issues I'd really appreciate it!
I bought the tip from Elektros.it but shipping is pricey to my location...and despite it being way better than the stock tip, I still prefer other tips more...
I understand you put the OPV kit from Elektros. Did you order that part recently or did you make this modification a long time ago? I keep checking the site and it shows keeps showing that the part is not available. Thanks.
I ordered the parts sometime around November 2019... I believe it is a similar kit to the new Oscar's (they really didn't change much), so I suspect the part shortage may be covid related....
@@MashApi links below for both version 1 and version 2....if you are in north America I'm sure there are kits if search for them. www.elektros.it/ca/en/Oscar_modification_Kit/kit-opv-tarata-a-10-bar.html www.elektros.it/ca/en/Oscar_modification_Kit/opv_oscar_II.html
It is a bit of work, I wouldn't suggest it unless you are handy... I had the machine completely taken apart and cut out two holes in the metal chassis to fit the manometers (done with a drill and a 50mm bi-metal hole saw), then I had to cut the same two holes into the plastic casing to install the actual gauges.. The manometers were ordered from elektros.it. Here is a video someone posted some time ago which should give you a decent idea of what to expect - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rTIcXW6ZHqc.html The major difference is that I installed one gauge on the left instead of both on the right. **If you install a gauge on the left MAKE SURE there is enough clearance so that it does not interfere with the bottom thermosyphon tube going back to the boiler, and do not damage the pre-drilled holes which hold the front plastic casing in place. Again, not recommended unless you are handy and confident...
@@oscarm6237 Wow, that was a nice package, I got a used one was 2014 vision and it did't have Sirai pressure stat and vacuum valve and timed programmability, but I installed my DIY giggler with 2.7mm inner diameter, restricted the flow further more.
