I mean this in this nicest way... GOOD LUCK!! If you can pull it off, that would be the most romantic wedding in human history. This piece is absolutely insanely tricky but insanely beautiful.
Isn’t it amazing how Tchaikovsky’s pas de deux was written for an orchestra. This piece would be played by roughly 30 instruments. Somehow they were able to condense it to a piano piece which is extraordinary. I frikin love the piano. Also the guys technique is spot on, it’s impressive how he seamlessly isolates all three melodies at once.

This is a are you kidding me level performance. Amateurs dont play with the same expression and struggle to hit all the notes on time. He's mastered the notes, expressions and changes in tempo. Phenomenal
One of the most beautiful songs ever composed by Tchaikovsky. My very favorite. It is a very dark yet romantic love that is not asleep but, painfully conscious of it's fate with destiny!!!
Nat, it is a typical russian new year :) President-courants- be-drunk-as-a-log-and, finally - "do u love russian classics? Stravinsky? Oh, ok - start with the "Exhibitions". After we'd like to sing. Welcome!
They were truly respectful of the pianist's intent in performing this beautiful composition. Perhaps the audience, too, wanted the final note to resonate as long as possible.

I'm not a religious person, but the memories I have of reading the Nutcracker storybook with my mom as a child at Christmastime and later seeing the ballet as a teenager are precious, this is what Christmas means to me, and this song is my favorite from the Nutcracker and is forever in my heart.
the magical combination of your mom spending time with you and her good taste in the genius of Tchaikovsky's heavenly melodies makes for indelible memories lasting a lifetime.
I come back to this every so often to just listen. My eyes always fill with tears at the beauty of this. This is the grand pas de deux of the SugarPlum Fairy in the Nutcracker. Which I had the honor of dancing when I was in ballet. Something that will always be with me.
my very first album was Tchaikovsky when I was 3 or 4 years old :) loved classical music ever since , thankyou mum for raising me to respect and to listen to classical music
Absolutely incredible. I totally LOVE this beautiful interpretaion of the timeless classic. Makes me cry each time I hear it. And I have been playing it over and over, so you can easily imagine that by now I am total mush. Consideing that I am hearing my 16 year old daughter playing the same piece in our living room, as she is getting ready for her recital and entrance music college exams - I am practically wrapped up in Thaikovsky sounds. Thank you, whoever filmed and posted it. I do not get those 17 people, who dared to put a dislike. What a joke. Why should there always be those, who want to fling dirt. I am so glad the dirt flingers are but a desperate minority.
Bravo ! Excellent and a very touchable performance ! It is a very difficult piece, and here, we can enjoy the majesty of Mr. Moisey. Thanks for sharing this jewel.
Fantastic, Alvin, breathtaking performance. An what an amazing transcription by Pletnev. Liszt himselfmight have been happy to be in the shoes of either.
So very beautifully performed.....it is my favorite interpretation of Tchaikovsky's "Pas de Deux" Intermezzo arranged for solo piano by concert pianist V. Pletnev
SIMPLESMENTE GRANDIOSO!!! O MELHOR DOS MELHORES. QUE INTERPRETAÇÃO 👏👏👏👏 PERFEITO!!!!!! LOUVADO SEJA SEU TALENTO:ÚNICO E DIVINO. QUE DEUS O ABENÇOE. 💕📿💕📿💕📿
I heard a young man in a concert in Baku around 2005 play this as one of about five encores, after he had played TWO concertos! I don’t know his name; I don’t think I heard it at the time as I can’t read Cyrillic. His final encore was something quiet, Rach. Op23 No2. Best money’s worth ever at a concert.
