I keep it as close to a training day as possible. So if it’s a major meet with heats and finals I’m eating a normal breakfast around 3 hours before racing in the morning, eating after the race, and then again about 3 hours before the final. If it’s a smaller meet where you’re racing a lot through the day it’s trickier, but you can still eat foods that you would normally eat, through the meet but it’s maybe more of a grazing style than big meals
