I loved this story! I grew up eating from the Royal Rib House and anytime I want some good soul food, they are my 1st choice! Jason, I wish you continued success.

I’ve eaten here on a visit to the city. The food is great, especially the fried chicken and peach cobbler!

My dad used to take me and my brother to the 303 Halsey Street location back in the 90s when the father used to be front of the house boy do I really miss this place currently living in Florida and there's no place like it like it at all down here . Hopefully when I get the chance to go back up I'm definitely stopping there to get that shot barbecue like I used to!!

Carolina style bbq is my favorite, even though I prefer vinegar based old school. Just wanted to point out the small thing I took from this video. The chicken is loaded above the pork, yes they cook at different times and temps, but also there’s respect in the fact that some ppl won’t/can’t consume pork. Salute 🫡

This video is very interesting in that in Hawaii the Hawaiian people don't know southern food but it wasn't until I went into the Army that I learned southern food a lot but from southern people off base in Agusta Georgia from there mama, and even now I won't go to a southern restaurant in Harlem off 125th street 6th Ave but I have gone to delis in the area and it is very extensive and not expensive very reasonable as I used to live in the area and very quiet but in the 80s it was very different and it's 2024 times have changed back then there was drugs but many places have closed now because it's low income but now I have no reason to go and see anything because it doesn't interest me rather see something else but I aware of things and I am not afraid to compare recipes and prices but that was 40 years ago

A rotisserie is the way to go, it gives the meat equal cooking time, and a great basting time. Thanks
