It reminds me of that episode in Friends in which Ross looks for a place to live after his fiasco wedding with Emily and visits a matchbox of an appartement.
Be that as it may, a twin bed with some foam covered blocks to be a back the twin bed can double as the sofa and bed. A small upholstered chair and a TV tray doubles as a dining room and a guest chair. Propping up the bed with plastic storage bins under it triple plays as bed, sofa and dresser. Wall sconces saves floor space acreage. A dust buster is a vacuum, an old hand towel is a mop. Float a couple shelves on the wall for a fake plant and some books doubles as home storage and bookcase. Floating shelves in bathroom with baskets doubles as linens and medicine cabinet. Where there is a will, there is a way. A couple hooks on the back of the front door doubles as coat closet and exit. NY newbie go for it!
Cuz it's in New York I bet you any money that place goes for $1,500 or more per month. Which is crazy. I laughed when he said you get a window like it was a benefit.
@@mircat28 I'm 36 years old with furniture... Um I'm not sleeping on a twin size bed. Imagine bringing someone home to spend the night lol 🤣 it was nice but that's for a kid
I had to watch it twice to decide if a hanger would even fit on that rod. I’m still not sure but I’m interested in a game of guess how many hangers it could hold! 🤪
@@Alexis-ln2hpthey are doing that at the university my son attends. The admin offices are getting a brand new entrance stairwell to protect from possible rioters, and storage spaces are being converted to living spaces for first years. 🙄
Yeah you're right I seen it on a previous video yesterday on the smallest This apartment that is insanity !! I don't know who would be dumb enough to pay that for something that's small .
NO JOKE >> THIS WAS MY OLD APT IN THE 90s. 325 35th street. When I lived in it it didnt look like that . The shower stall was on the other side of the bathroom and there was no tiny closet. Im thrilled to have seen this. BTW I paid $450 in year 2000
If you aren’t from NYC, a Pied-à-terre, is common here. People will have both a house in the suburbs, and a studio in Manhattan. It functions as a permanent hotel room, not someone’s only house. When you are working late, staying out late, or need to be up early in Manhattan, you go to your place like this in the city. When you want to chill at home, you go to your suburban house. Look at real estate listings and you will very often seen “Pied-à-terre” ok/not OK when renting/ buying a place
Honestly back when I was younger, I would have been fine in that apartment, or if I'm ever single I could be in one that size, all I need is a bed, TV, Xbox, and AC.....but I wouldn't pay anywhere near what they are charging for that in NYC
Leave the north & move to the south. You can get a home mortgage of $1,500.00 monthly with 4-bed rooms, large grass front & back yard, 2 car garage. Cost of living is cheaper. You will make less money (compared to northern living) but it all works out in the cost of living & you can SAVE money overall.
Financially that makes sense to you but people live in NYC to spend their waking time IN the city rather than at home. I wouldn’t want more space to dust and lawn to mow when I could be exploring museums and dining out with friends. Life is more about passions and what you want to fill your life with.
@stacyadkins5374 Bro, you people can't even pay for Jack shlt added to the fact that the "aliens" are taking your homes for free making the prises go up and then you people complain on why your broke.
TINY but Very Well Appointed !!! You are absolutely right about the bathroom . It's huge and Well done !!! And great windows as well. Lots of light especially during those depressing winter months !!! ( Jan to April) !!!
in college I had this mini loveseat that folded out into a twin, for guests. I'd probably have that and a storage ottoman, a fold down table and chairs, super narrow bookshelf under the TV, and a couple oversized pillows in the corner.
Futon - couch by day, bed by night, storage underneath 24/7. TV trays to eat on, food up neatly , place to the side. Flat screen on wall. Possibly more cabinets hung up ? Definitely has possibilities
For small apartments this has to be the best I have seen. Great kitchen and bath for the space. I like that it's not just a skinny rectangle. Those feel so claustrophobic
While loosing storage space for a dishwasher is a tradeoff, it's one I think a lot of people would make in NYC. I'm a little surprised it isn't a smaller drawer dishwasher, but I realize those are less common and probably more expensive than just giving the Tennant a larger one.
I wouldn’t pay $600. Oh, wait! It’s NYC. A twin bed by night and a sofa by day.? The so-called closet can only be used as a linen closet and don’t know where someone would put their clothes. Kitchen cute. Bathroom is alright but it will be a challenge keeping the water when showering to not pool up in the window seal that’s inside the shower 🤦🏽♀️. The entry door should not have been placed in the center of that wall. It should have been moved closer to the kitchen, thereby giving more wall space to place a sofa/bed. The furnishings are cute and modern and the building complex overall looks nice. That abandoned building next door looks scary and it would cause me a meltdown to come home after dark.
Please let me see how you fixed it up. Great little kitchen, windows with seating area, great bathroom and cute view, looks quite, nice building, good light, etc
And The Kicker❓️**Somebody** Will be Excited to Move in (Great New York Kitchen)...Sleeping Sideways...Eat, Live, Pray, Entertain, Work, Decorate, "Furnish" with collapsible & miniatures...Paper thin walls..Love thy Neighbor‼️ Not for Plus-Sized, Claustrophobic or Non-minimalists🛑Good Luck🌹GOD BLESS😇
This is actually decent. Some of the tiny apartments don’t have a real kitchen, the toilet is down the public hallway, or some other craziness is going on. This is just a small studio for people that need a crash pad.
Wow! It’s tiny but kinda cute. As fas as furniture I’m guessing a futon for your bed/ sofa, A desk that’s attached to the wall that would function as a desk (duh), kitchen table, hang out area with 2 chairs and a couple of those poufs that can be seats/ottomans
PERFECT🏠, HAS ALL MAIN FEATURES, where one spends most of their time, Nice BATHROOM, Dishwasher, FULL SIZE FRIG, Excellent VENTILATION & a CLOSET, Brooklyn NY🗽🇺🇲
Murphy bed, or daybed/pullout bed. Nicest “closet” homes I’ve seen yet 🤣 I’m 5ft so I’d be fine here, but the shepherd, chihuahua, three cats, and starling would find it a bit too “snug”.
I love this place cuz it's nicely refurbished....I'd HAVE to get rid of at least 95% of my belongings. I'd get the settee that folds out to be a twin sized bed...BUT, I won't have GUESTS; ESPECIALLY, not to spend the night ‼️‼️
If the ceiling is high enough a loft twin would work with love seat below it. So would twin bed with covered foam block as a back makes a bed/sofa combo.
The ceiling is definitely not high enough and that ceiling fan takes up a lot of space up there. Lol If this place had huge, vaulted ceilings, the loft bed idea would be great 👍
