You have a 4th ammendment right against unlawful searches and seizures, unless there is reasonable suspicion that someone has, is, or are about to commit a crime. 3. You can not draw your suspicions of criminal behavior based solely upon a constitutionally protected activity. I mean it couldn't hurt to just let the cops search your home whenever they wanted right?

Ohio passed Constitutional Permitless Carry for law-abiding citizens to carry a firearm and the state has had a significant drop in crime in all their big cities and it keeps getting better. New York has the strictest gun laws of the country and the crime is out of control. They enact more gun laws and the crime gets worse. Someone in NY should look into that.

I just looked it up. Columbus’ crime rate was up in 2023 as was Dayton’s. Cincinnati experienced a decrease in violent crime and an increase in property crime, which included a 30% increase in gun thefts. This equates to about 650 stolen guns in 2023. Watch out!

How would this work in practice? I assume multiple cops will need to be present at each machine. The machine sounds and then what? Cops draw their weapons? What if the person reaches? Would cops really open fire risking hitting those waiting in line behind him? This is not going to work.

I was thinking that maybe it would be an instant recognition as opposed to after a crime is committed - and if there are police around, instant stop. People WILL NOT wait in line like they have too at an airport Do the math, There are 472 stations in NYC with a minimun of 6 turnstiles in each station if your putting one at each turnstile or at each enterance/exit of each station. Who is going to monitor and/or stop the person or persons on a 24hr/7days a week/365 day basis ?
