Second, they make that amount of money because most of them work overtime. So, basically, if you look at how much money they make hourly - you will see that they actually don’t make that much. Besides, it’s pretty expensive to live in New York. Plus you have to remember that this job is very dangerous. Officers put their lives on risk. So that’s why they should get paid more.

That case was disgusting and extremely disturbing, very similar to Robert Leone who was beat up by cops for 11 hours while in handcuffs, just because he didn't stop for the cops, and spent 3 years in jail or Kalief Browder who spent 3 years at Riker's Island because a crazy NYPD officer made up a lie that he stole a backpack he never stole. I hate cops for that and once I have been assaulted by police doing absolutely nothing wrong, but I still respect law enforcement and can tell the difference between right and wrong. Here the perp was caught stabbing somebody and later decided it would be smart to resist arrest and curse the cops out. The cops were too generous to him, the complete opposite to what happened in Glendale. I hate it when people compare the real police brutality victims with criminals because that discredits the real victim's fighting chance to get real justice, and then people start to assume that everyone that is being arrested is a criminal or the other way around.
