Carrie Underwood is legitimately one of the greatest singers ever. I would suggest reacting to her singing 'How Great Thou Art' ft Vince Gil at the ACM Girl's Night Out. Got a standing ovation in front of an audience full of other singers and performers. Her vocals are insane
They made this video like this because both Brad and Carrie are very happily married and they have a strong friendship and wanted to respect boundaries even though this song is such an intimate story.
so based on the verses its a couple who's grown apart and who's no longer trying like they did in the beginning of the relationship hence being in a giant desert separated so far there is a great distance between them and in between them is all the things they don't do anymore. them walking to one another is them starting to try and meeting each other in the middle like you must do in a successful relationship.

I think you’re missing the symbolism of the video and it’s setting. It’s about how much their relationship has changed, and the distance of how far they’ve come a part (what better place to show that than a desert). Then showing them come back together to the way things used to be and the time it takes.

@@lysiandartie5458 no worries. Yea the more times you guys listen to it the more the story will makes sense. That's why people love country music cause usually there always a hidden story within a song and sometimes the artist will blantly tell a story
