Your roses look stunning!!! You are so lucky to not have freezing cold in NY during winter. In my country, this winter was so hard on my roses but non of them died completely, fortunately. What kind of fertilizer do you use for roses? Your garden is such an inspiration for me! Thank you so much!

Your roses are beautiful and the one for Mika is wonderful. So many varieties, I live in Northeast PA and I can’t for the life of me grow roses. Peonies, irises, gladiolus and hollyhocks grow like crazy. Love the green Velcro! I just got back from Bethany Beach and I found a beautiful quilt shop called Serendipity Quilt Shop, I wanted so many things plus they have classes. I know this place as well called Eureka Fabrics and they may have something as well. We visited my brother in law in Eureka, CA and this was a lovely shop and has an online shop. Enjoy your quilting!

Jacklyn your two gardens are gorgeous. You definitely have a green thumb maybe two! Going to have to check out Mr. and Mrs. Smith, sounds interesting. Have a good few weeks, looking forward to the quilt journey.

I’ve not been watching your channel long, but I thoroughly enjoy your varied content. My husband and I decided to watch Mr. And Mrs. Smith on your recommendation and we love it. We love the pace, the dialog and the intrigue. Thanks!

Garden is looking STUNNING. I have a different climate (9b Mediterranean West Coast) but I have a similar shade spot in my garden, and some favorites for that garden are hollyhocks and scabiosa. The vertical interest of the foxglove is perfect in your garden.

Hi Jaclyn: What a treat to watch your awesome and beautiful zen garden of roses and flowers to start the day! I love walking all over my neighborhood just to look at all the beautiful flowers to help me destress. I live in south Brooklyn and there’s a house on Ave R with tons of different color roses. I love smelling each kind to see what scent it has. Unfortunately, it is not close to me and none of them are David Austin roses. I would love to see some David Austin roses! I used to grow a lot of different kind of roses in my very tiny front garden along with three fig trees, French lilac bush, peonies, and hibiscus, and some other perennials. Unfortunately, because of the tiny space in between the fig trees and roses, I kept on getting poke by the thorns whenever it is time to harvest my figs and when I am not careful. My daughter always complained that the roses poked her when she’s trying to get in the door. Then one day, I got poke so badly that I decided to take them all out. It was sad, but I learned my lesson the hard way! I gather I didn’t think of the poke factor in such tiny space. I didn’t know too much about roses. I just bought whatever were on sale for the beautiful colors. It was such a shame to take out the climbing roses, too. I don’t have much luck with Lavender, either! I bought some a few years ago from the Union Square Green Market and they died, unfortunately. However, this year I’ve decided to give it a try again because I have seen a few houses with huge lavender bush around my area. Maybe they use the soil that are use in Clivias and orchids so whenever we have heavy occasional downpours, it does not died, not sure. Thank you so much for sharing, I really enjoy your podcast! I love to walk around Prospect Park but I have to take a bus and train to get there. I am walkable distance to Marine Park, but a good chunk of it is still blocked off for renovations, unfortunately. However, the Salt Water Marsh is just as good! Happy sewing and gardening!❤❤

Your roses are just amazing!! 😍 Would love it if you could talk about how often you water/check on them in a future vlog. I've tried growing some roses, but not gotten down the routine...

Both gardens look fabulous. I wish I could grow roses but they just fail every time. My foxgloves and irises are fab this year too. 😊

It’s always a joy to find a video from you. I love to see your gardens. I’m in the UK - not too far from David Austin & quite near to Wollerton Old Hall which is as special a garden as is often reported- so it’s interesting to see plots elsewhere. You correctly identified why Teasing Georgia is hanging downwards- you tied it in a little late once the flowering spurs had already developed towards the light and as the branch was tied down they twisted downward. I try to remember to tie the fresh growth in towards the end of the season or very early the following year before the shoots which will flower develop but don’t always manage it and the blooms come regardless. Thank you for sharing.

Have you tried to use spray starch on the fabrics that are giving you trouble? It makes them stiffer and often it's enough to make their usage much easier.
