Nyepi is a silent day on Bali. Trafic stops, even the airport is closed. All activities apart from emergency are on hold. Olafur said that it was during this quiet time he started to create this song. The sounds were born in silence. Silence is something we apprehend yet it is silence that brings peace, new ideas. It has corrective and reparative power. Nyepi will be celebrated on 7 March 2019.
