omg my friend is in this orchestra and now audition videos pop up!! and you're so good!! the 3rd movement of mendelssohn is my favorite and I've been trying to learn it for so long. you're an inspiration for sure.
Thank you so much! I have wanted to learn the Mendelssohn for a long time as well before this as well, keep working towards it and you'll get there soon enough!
Wow! Solid technique, brilliant sound, very sensitive phrasing and special musical moments. They’d have to be insane to not accept you. You are an amazing violinist. My only comment would be to work on an even smoother sound on Mozart and possibly a wider dynamic range. Way better than what I could do though.
The excerpts for application come out in the summer of that year, and you have to submit a video with a solo and excerpts usually by early December. You can find more info here: www.carnegiehall.org/Education/Programs/National-Youth-Ensembles/NYO2/Apply
@@juliejules7780For me, if I practice a piece enough, I will be able to memorize it pretty easily, however, this takes a few months (it also depends on the piece) It also helps to listen to recordings of the piece a lot!
