this video makes me liss my grandmother and the wonderful food that i grew up with. Thank you for making the videos and keeping this dishes alive! and great cooking tips! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎
This version of mee siam and gravy is very different from my grandmother who is also a peranakan. Her tau kwa are cut into small cube sizes and acted as a garnish on top of the finished product. Also she would add prawn stock to the gravy n the prawns would be stirfried together with the bee hoon. Koo chye also acted as a garnish for the mee siam. We would eat it with sambal kachang. Maybe different people different versions? It's always nice to learn new versions.
I miss the mee siam I used to eat at school canteen in 1970s. It was simple and always yearned to have it. 2 yrs ago tried mee siam from Melaka, that was tasty. Now after seeing your video, I must try making it. Different method especially the sauce. Tq sis for sharing 🤗
@@nyonyamelakaflavours3316 yes sis, I did it n it brought back old memories. Though preparation was tedious it was amazingly perfect. 😋I appreciate the effort you put in. Tqvm
