The base video was captured on a Sony HDR-AS100V. The lap timing, speedo, and map overlay was done using an app called RaceChrono Pro on my HTC One M8. The GPS data was fed to the phone live using a QSTARZ 818XT Bluetooth GPS. The video with overlay was completely rendered using the RaceChrono Pro app on the phone by uploading the video file to the phone and linking it to the data captured by the app. The beauty of this setup is the cost. The app was only $20.00 US and the GPS device was less than $100.
