I tried doing this yesterday on my new C3X, replaced the sounds in the assets folder and rebooted the device, but no luck, the default sounds are still there. Will try again tonight.
Despite having Asperger's and by his own admission (a long time ago) not really getting on with people, he seems to be doing precisely that-rather well!
This video is quite old so I don’t know that you will still check posts. The rubber glove trick did it for me! I have an LS2 Valiant 2 and it’s quite noisy. I’ve tried all kinds of things with my mic to take the distortion out when I get up over 40km /hr. Nothing worked. I cut the thumb off a rubber glove and put it over my mic that has a foam cover and dead cat. The sound of my voice is clear and crisp now. Thanks! This is an evergreen video. I’m glad it’s still up.
Did you SSH into your unit and change any of Shane's settings? I installed Shane's fork in my 2022 Prius Prime with a Comma 2. Looking at Shane's readme there's a setting to tell the system that you're driving a Prius. And another setting to let open pilot make use of the steering wheel follow button. I'm currently reading how to SSH into a comma 2.
I have Comma 3 on my Prius 2019 and using the standard OpenPilot. The major problem is when I come to stop light with a Car in front is I come to a sudden stop. It is much graceful with the Toyota Intelligent Cruise compared to the OpenPilot. Will the fork help in anyways? If so which fork? Please advise 🙏🏽
Just wondering if you did the safety recall on your 2022 prime. This is the recall number Safety Recall 21TA07 (Remedy Notice), Certain 2022 Model Year Prius and Prius Prime Vehicles, Vehicle May Lose Motive Power While Driving Wondering if your C3 had any problems after they updated it?
Just quick question you have to look at the road all the time while using comma 3 ? Like after how many seconds it beep or worn driver to look at the road. I heard it is very annoying it give you only few seconds and if you’re not looking at the road it start beeping . Is that correct ?
I worked for AP and just purchased ,3. It's not too far from AP in terms of what it's functionally capable of. Yes, stop signs, lines, pedestrians, etc are a different case entirely, it looks like OP does much better than AP does in rain
I also have a 2022 Prius Prime XLE. Looking to purchase a comma 3. To get full functionality of Open pilot, did you need to unplug any of the modules? Such as the CSU/DSU module. I seen a RU-vid video where someone with a Highlander needed to unplug their CSU module
You do not need to disconnect anything for Openpilot to be able to handle gas and brake on your car. It was the older Prius Primes that needed the DSU disconnected in order for Openpilot to control gas and brake.
Hi Chris, I had my DSU disconnected. There are dash errors if the C2 or C3 needs to boot up. With an SDSU, that wouldn't have been an issue. In my new 2022 TSS 2.0 Prius Prime, there is no DSU so no dash errors.
Just wondering what you think about the new update stop sign stop lights I have a Prius prime 2022 getting a little surging on speed more noticeable at higher speeds on experimental mode running the stock OP 0.9.0 just wondering if you were having any issues other than that it works great
Some questions you may know the answer to. 1) Does Shane's Fork see when Toyota's BSM is active and refuse to change lanes automatically if there is an adjacent car? 2) What happens on an on-ramp if you don't initiate a lane change and the lane ends? On basic Autopilot (not a typo; I drive a Model 3), it will merge you at the last second ungracefully. I'm wondering if OpenPilot will simply drive on the shoulder or if it too will reluctantly merge.
1) Does Shane's Fork see when Toyota's BSM is active and refuse to change lanes automatically if there is an adjacent car? >I don't believe this is implemented yet, but should come in the future. 2) What happens on an on-ramp if you don't initiate a lane change and the lane ends? @@YetNotDead Has there been any updates with new features on this yet? Debating if its worth investing in for my 22 Prius over the basic lane keep/radar
Good afternoon I love your videos and thanks for posting them great help. I watch them several times and there a difference understand them pre comma 3 and post comma 3 especially when you talk about shane forks. I had my comma 3 for 3 days now and it drive me crazy on the lack of feathers the Shane fork have over the stock version. I like the switching lane by only one move the non disengage of the gas pedal and the following distances levels I have a 2020 prius prime limited and I hoping if you can explain what exactly I need to put in the url of my comma 3 for the same Shane fork 0.8.13 that you are running
