Boy have I missed your channel and glad to see you making a series out your layout rebuild! It's good to see you, RJ and that smile on your face as you discuss trains ❤
It's good catch up with your layout rebuild, RJ. It's looking really good. I hope the visit of your model railroad friends gave you a boost to your work so far. I like the use you've cardboard paper for tunnels and terrain. Very nice effect. Everything is falling into place!
Coming along nicely RJ! And man, when Maple wants attention she wants it NOW! Are you sure she doesn't have some Basset Hound in her? If she can hear you opening a candy bar wrapper from three rooms away then trust me, she does! Thanks for posting!
A great update! The layout is certainly coming along quite nicely. The town is real neat and the SuperStreets trolley line really makes it pop, for sure. Maple seems to be a good helper. My stupid cats would just come in, lounge around and not care, either way.😉 A fine update and excellent video, as always.
Wow, looking great! I’ve been following you for a while. I don’t think I’ve ever commented before, but I like to see fellow train enthusiasts who might be local-ish to me and what types of trains they run and how they have their layouts… Country, farmland, mountains, urban, things like that. Anyway, it is looking really great, nice work!
You've made great progress RJ! I made the same mistake when weathering my track. I painted the whole layout at once, let it all dry, then spent hours and hours scrubbing with an abrasive track cleaning pad. Can't wait to see what you have next!
Wow, RJ, you have made some great progress! I'm really enjoying your updates. Maple clearly likes being on camera. Having been to Harpers Ferry, I really like that you are working to replicate what you can of the Harpers Ferry area. RJ, you might want to cover the brown paper hillsides with some plaster cloth before adding the Sculptamold. The plaster cloth with give you an even more solid base on which to apply the Sculptamold. Just a thought. Keep up the great work! Bill B.
While I'm thinking of it, I just want to throw this out there. So I'm looking to connect with other big RU-vid model railroaders to do a model railroad live stream at least once a month. Whether it's this month or sometime in the future if you're interested, I'd like to invite you to do a model railroad live stream. Here's a short I made about roughly what I had in mind. ru-vid.comR1GAwwjp2t4?si=AILMm_gat5OgpdnV
Your updates are informative and easy to follow. There is a lot of work that goes into a layout and you are doing a great job. Thanks for taking us along.
Great progress on your layout, I don't have sculpting skills like that to do a fancy layout. The toy exchange in the Twin Arch shopping ctr in Mt Airy close to RBP has a couple of corgi 1:50 EM-One DC rescue Squads for sale
You told us you got a new Amtrak Station and the next thing we see is you decided to christen it with a CSX Intermodal? I thought I was going to see passengers hopping out of the containers at that new station! 🤷
Great job!! So many different ways to weather track - I use airbrush and 1/8” masking tape to mask top of rails- lot less cleanup! Check us out on T&S trains- look forward to your progress on the layout!
I am not sure if having the buildings so far down from the train track looks good, with all the extras sound, building detail, etc it seems to me as if the town in front should be about half an inch higher so the train isn't so far up from the town, is my take on it otherwise it all is looking wonderful
