C Ramchandra was an exceptionally talented composer. just known about him through old melodies. Every song is completely different and magical. Seems he brought highest exceptionalities of Lata’s voice in her early years.
What a song sung by Latta affecting my thoughts and taking me 50 years back. My love for these old Urdu songs started way back in my early school days in 1968.
Uffff.......Kitna dard bhar diya hai Great Lyricist Rajendra Krishna ji ne apne is heart break nagme mein unki Shaayri bhi kaleje ko cheer kar rakh dene ke liye kaafi hai, is nagme ka ek ek lafz Dard se labrez hain, kya telent tha un puraane fankaaron mein jinki goonj shayad jab tak yeh duniya qaayam hai tab tak sunaayi deti rahegi, Shaayri to lajawaab hai he ise compose karne waale Azeem Musician C. Ramchandra ji ne behad dard- bhara tone dekar aur Legendary Fankaara Lata ji ne bhi apni Koyal jaise sureely awaaz se saja kar is nagme ko aur bhi ghamgeen kar diya hai, really its unforgotabe and evergreen melanchol melody, their never end for its listening. Thanks dear IMIRZA 777 ji for uploading such a beautiful and meaningfull saddist melody. Awesome.
Lata C Ramchandra combination has given unforgettable numbers. Melody at its best. today's MDs are good. People say ARRahman is unparallel. Sorry he has rhythm but you can't remember his songs for eternity. The above is the song of eternity
Cant forget this song. When it comes to sweet sad songs, Lata Mangeshkar & Madan Mohan and Lata Mangeshkar C Ramchandra come first. This song really brings tears. I wqonder how these artists remained normal after composing/singing such song.
I just happened to see this video clip and was attracted by the lyrics of this song of yesteryears, a beautiful classic piece, and one of the favorite of music lovers, a great masterpiece of C. Ramchandra, Rajender Krishan and Lataji, combine. Heart touching lyrics, music and rendition, made this song immortal. Lataji voice was so fresh and sweet in the earlier years of her career and this song she sang with such tenderness but soulfully, touching the core of our heart. The heart rending scene in the video is enough to drive oneself to tears! Thanks IMIRZA ji for sharing this beautiful piece of music!
Yes, I am late in expressing my gratitude to you IMIRZA777 but you have obliged me and scores of other. Even when I was 9 years old, it used to stir me up. God Bless You - Manu
Old melodious songs had one thing in common, simple back ground music, tabla, harmonium or voilin. No wholesale orchestra to obscure the singer. Lata never needed any embellishments, anyway.
Kon kon dislike deya ha,,,,, this song my grandfathers favourite song my Father favourite song and my favourite song too💖in future this song will be favourite of my childrens
Heat felt touching the soul of sensitive persons with soothing feelings and sense of depth and true expressions of love through melody and music! Superb'n
Why let criminals make money from your hard work? Patanga and all its songs have been out of copyright for over nine years, as I write this. They are polluting both the video (with that exclamation point inside a circle) and the Video Information (with ads for unrelated videos). Don't let them profit from your work. Any film song released in 1958 and earlier is no longer protected by copyright.
The beauty of Lataji's early voice was its thin quality, which made her delicate murkis resonate in our ears with all their crystal-clear purity. Those murkis poured all their honey into our hearts and souls, with us asking for more and more. This is that kind of song. Thanks, Mirzaji.
Sweetly sungs by Bharat Ratna Lataji for the golden era actress Purnima ji for the golden era film Patanga, composed superbly by the great music director of golden era C. Ramchandra ji.
C.R is a magician in earnest. Just see the composition. I think whenever SJ might have heard this masterpiece, they would have learnt a point or two about composing the song.
Old is gold. Tamam tareefen sirf bhagwan k liye hen. Wo khud hi to kainat k zarre zarre main mojood hai. Itne dilkash our khoobsurat nagme our shairi aane wale waqt main shaid hi mil sake.
Thanks to all. We appreciate this song and salute to Master C.Ramachandra.May god bless you . I cant understand Hindi but what is the mean of tears in my eyes. Its mean the lovely sad tune of Master C.R and the voice of Lata ge. I am from Sri Lanka Percy Bernard Jayakody.Long live Barat Mata and her cultuers.
Superb song and voice of great late Lata. We can never expect such voice again from any other female in future LATA JI(Nightingale of India) Be peace to her soul
As I come to the end game of my life, I intensely feel that ineffable sorrow one feels when one realises that the masterpieces that one loved so much will most likely be forgotten except perhaps by a few afficianadoes who are misfits in their time. CR, music ke liye aapko salaam, Lataji for the inimitable singing, and RK for the lyrics that have made this song so beautifully full of emotion. Thanks, Mirzaji, you are one of my favourites for posting these great songs that constitute our treasure, along with some others.............please write me so I can keep in touch....
I can only say it is fantastic. There can be no comparison to the present day NOISE which they try to pass as music. The present day songs-if they can be called so- are forgotten before we come out of cinema hall.
What a sweet voice was in Lata's early days of singing career.I remember I was 4 years old in 1951 and watched this movie with my mother in ladies class, then in cinema houses ladies class use to be separated, that was Ujala Cinema, Chittagong former East.Pakistan.....
People when praising a song , pay compliment to singer and MD but forget that lyricist is the most important factor after MD in creating a masterpiece. Lata became a legend by default. Since there was no great singer among females so Lata reached the dizzy heights of fame. If you ask someone who has musical ear and a musical mind then he will tell that Tilat, Sehgal and Rafi if not Manna De were greater singer than Lata.
So this is Shyam! My brother used to gather us boys up- me and cousins - and take us to Chaina Creek just outside and north of Bombay on Ghodbunder Rd (to Thane from Borivli side) for spending a few days in the guest house by the river. I was told Shyam fell off the horse he was riding during a film shooting and died there at Chaina Creek. Many thanks Mirza ji.
C Ramchandra was great musician. His work was fast.,His music was sweet and good. Jaldse jald aur wah bhi achchhaa sangit dete the wah.Usme ukba 1st nomber tha. Te aamche priy marathi M D hote.
It is such wonderful, melodious and heart touching tune by Chitalkarji and rendered by Lataji, that the tune is copied in Tamil film Dikambara Samiyar .The song is " Name pavi"

I remember having seen the movie in Bandra, only for tilting music to melodious tunes like this. What a variety. All the songs show chitalkar's vast repertoire.
