This is not the only commercial that comes on several times a day!!! What about the Humana commercial? What about the Medicare commercials.!the man at the dentist office trying to talk with that stupid stick in his mouth. They had several actors doing those. Joe Nameit, Jimmy Walker, ect. And what about that ENDURANCE . WARRANTY ?? What about all the commercials that have taken women privacy away from them when it comes down to personal things. The list can go on and on and on? Thanks , no offense
Nor where actor wears thon material pants and his dingdong is very apparent it it flops around, especially as he swings around before flopping in the chair towards the end.
You mean you dont like his vaudeville routine? Yeah me either and if anyone says they do they work for this medicare profiteer ‘doctor’ office. Prob just one doctor per building and 50 partitioners. So you dont actually see a doctor but they tell medicare you do.
My friend in New York City told me to watch this...I'm in Australia. She tried to describe just how bad it is, and we were both in tears, laughing at how offensive it is 😂 That poor man, the main actor...how much did they pay him to play that travesty? That AWFUL stereotype! A little soft shoe shuffle? Finger gun salutes? The other actors looked embarrassed too!😄
None of the patients including those under 40 dance around at or away from your clinics. Must have been an AARP inspired failure of an false idea that OSHA patients feel good enough to dance around when standing or sitting. You should demonstrate how polite & professional caring for people can be. GET REAL
I absolutely hate this commercial. Cringe worthy. This minstrel type commercial is utterly offensive and ridiculous. Totally stereotypical! Tap dancing, stretched eyes, performing for staff…all unnecessary for a healthcare commercial.
Love the commercial but I wasn’t happy with the service. My mom kept telling them something wasn’t right with her and they failed to do blood work that she requested. She had a UTI that she never recovered from, landing her in rehab, then to nursing home and finally in hospice care. She lost her life 4/29/2023 at 67 years old. I hope others have a better experience
I am sorry for your loss. I've been misdiagnosed a few times by my health facility. (Which I shall not name) And I have submitted negative feedback to them concerning placing their interest in conserving funds and what insurance companies are willing to pay for, above performing the best tests to identify the cause of illness beyond doubt. But certain politicians and many of the filthy rich have no concern of paying for the best tests/procedures. We in the middle class can only hope to receive care by competent, caring doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff involved with identifying and recommending treatment for our illnesses.
Love the commercial. Very light hearted. Lighten up people !. Why the gripe about somebody seeming to be happy, he went in for a check up and not autopsy.
Just what America needs in a racially charged 2024, a prototypical caricature of what their (Oak Street Health) marketing department sees as a typical Black man of a certain age. Why not some casual slacks, a sports jacket, and some loafers, without all the footwork, bug eyes, and hand gestures I think the generation that this man depicts will find this display highly offensive, though not surprising.
Sorry you missed the point "Dude". He's not saying being sick is a joke?. He's saying that the Doctors at Oak Street take good care of their patients with good preventive care. I would think that because you've seen this commercial several times? That you would have understood the meaning of it by now! A simple solution? Change the TV Channel when it comes on; Because every time you watch it? Not only does Oak Street get paid, but so does he (So?) His pockets get fatter while your headache gets worst 🤣🤣🤣
The first time I watched this I thought it was a bit long but was tolerable. After a couple hundred times I now mute and get a snack or change stations. It is also long enough to take a bathroom break. I will not be looking to join Oak Street Health.
This is just CVS and Aetna cashing in even more, for one thing you don't see senior citizens dancing around the doctors office. I'm not sure if Aetna owns CVS or vise versa only know they are both greedy and CVS lost my prescription business because of how much they charge and how little Aetna pays. Good RX is the best at getting prescriptions cheap.
.ore offensive is his thin pants and flopping around dingdong. Very apparent it was loose to flop during all that dancing around. You can really see "it" when he swings just before flopping in chair. I don't look for this, it was a real slap in my face and a shock.
This step it and fetch it guy is annoying, especially when he is there after they are closed up. If I was the doc ill tell him to stop dancing and leave. This guy is annoying. I always change the channel when this fool is on.
This man (Lee Palmer, an actor) is good looking and has all the right moves. I always stop to watch this commercial. I do not recognize him or remember seeing him in any other commercials, tv shows, movies or stage productions. But he sure can dance! 🕺🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😉😊
I think all of you who don't like this commercial has never lived where the health care available is terrible. I lovethis commercial and all that it stands for.
Haters gone Hate they don't know any better when you're raised with when you you have class , dignity and integrity You don't have to comment. But I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL.❤😂🎉❤
This commercial promotes stereotypes as in Africans being good for nothing but singing, dancing, and clowning to entertain the master race. You don't see my Mediterranean people portrayed as clowns and we love to dance.
Im 75 and i like this commercial he feels good and has a great outlook on life just like me. Im almost positive he was in a sitcom in the 60s or 70s but i cant find his name anywhere. There is a name listed but the person is a young sports announcer. Anyone know?
I searched for the commercial on line and found out it is Lee Palmer, the actor, who dances in this commercial. His current photo and this commercial popped up under his name. 🕺🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😄
When you look up Oak st. The people responsible for the advertising hype them up like they are revolutionary. You can learn about the actors and “follow along with the songs” and other odd stuff. I can’t help but say this commercial might be going for the worst I seen in my life.
Bad feeling about the dancing under the spotlight part...reminds me of some of those old, racially charged black and white movies from the 40s and 50s.
Maaaan Zion Commercial come on every day he swear he too cool “hey hey still got it” ZION!!!!!! Lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this commercial come on everyday my grandmother hates it lol 😂😂😂😂😂 because he be literally on every channel ain’t nobody in the doctor dancing like that with no Hawaiian shirt lol 😂 😂😂😂 tap dancing and etc He getting paid everyday he don’t got to work no more 😂😂😂😂
Actually, it's not. I have seen far worse. Besides that, If you have ever worked at some bad jobs (like I have), you might be happily dancing after retirement too. 😁
Healthcare provider here- could not dislike your annoying commercials more. Sounds like you toned down version 1. This is the patient caregivers would sigh with on arrival and be glad upon departure. Let's create some ads that respect seniors.
Very creative commercial. So cool. And is very watchable. I think zion is very likeable and very good in this role. Nice commercial very likeable. I watch it every time.
They closed the CVS that is two blocks from my house and now they are turning it into an Oak Street facility. I was wondering what was going on at the site.
Be careful. In their terrible reviews, former employees said they were required to stalk seniors as they were out shopping. Trying to get them to change their health care to OSH.
Could that cup be tea instead of coffee? No sugar part. It did not mention cream or anything, just no sugar... which could be a flavored (lemon) tea and not coffee? perhaps?
You should try it or at least smile or even carry on a light hearted conversation. Maybe it will cheer up that poor soul in the waiting room who just got bad news about theirs or a loved one's health.
I think this commercial is for people on medicaid as well as Medicare, My current insurance does not have providers that I can see you the same day/next day appointments. unless it is an emergency. plus my plan does not cover transportation, which again for medicaid receipients.
0:46 I love this video, I have a lot of older friends who are always ill or in pain or sick. This guy is up beat and happy about being healthy . This video helps my friends see that there still are some doctors that still care about older ones.!This world is so negative! Health is very important and I don’t think this commercial makes fun of people health. It shows that with the right doctors you can be happy about your health too. I love this video. Sorry don’t mean to step on anybody toes❤💯‼️
Oak Street Health serenaded our Senior Living Community with a "Win your Bucket List" ..write out a "bucket list" and be selected. Made to believe it would be one of ours...Nope...my thought is, Zion ( bahahahaha) fake name, won and his bucket list consisted of being on television, tap dancing. This is the worst commercial EVER!!! The shucking and jiving is too much!! 🤢🤢
This is a terrible. It did get my attention because I thought the main actor might be an "old singer / actor" from the past - but nah he isn't. Yet the people surrounding him made me think he was a celebrity. Pretty lame commercial.
You aren't going to find a doctor that puts their patience health and well-being first in a profit driven Medical Corporation that's main concern is their bottom line
I used to think all black folks are the same, and after this stereotypical depiction of the brothers visit to the clinic,i would say so. I was waiting for jj walker to say dynomite. Lets see one of your ads with white folks and how you would stereotypicaly depict them in a visit to your clinics.
3 week's Pain, NO relief, kept saying prescription, called Pharmacy, NOT. How much big bucks they paying this guy, If that much, I would be acting a fool also....
I agree. I've been with Oak Street for 2 months, and haven't experienced any of the perks they brag about. There's little to no communication, and I have to chase them down to get scripts to see specialists. It took 2 weeks to get prescriptions refills. This plan is NOT for anyone with serious healthcare issues requiring close supervision.
I really hate this commercial for the stereotypical dancing and singing of black folk. It comes across as sheer buffoonery. Why can’t elder black adults be portrayed as classy and professional?
I’m waiting for him to trip somebody with them legs kickin’ out everywhere. And what’s up with the dude asking if he wants sugar in his coffee? All that caffeine and sugar in a health facility? My word!
that cup could have contained tea? tea without sugar maybe an apple cranberry tea? it never mentioned cream or anything other than no sugar and may not have been associated with coffee.
So, the majority of you miss the point totally. If you listen and stop worrying about the actor you may learn your health care provider is NOT taking care of you, as oak street health will. I have a follow up appointment with my doctor, who is with trinity care and i can promise you he will see this commercial from me and i will question the care he and trinity health are providing for me.
I love this commercial. Watch it constantly for the sheer fun of it. Brings home the message that we oldsters really need to move, constantly. I‘m also looking into switching to Oak Street Health because of the information provided.
This old black man is pretty smooth, I like the way he did his little dance he played the part just right, when I see him do his little dance I need to feel like that
Ladies and gentlemen , this is an example on how not to spend your advertising money.. And possibly reconsider your art dept...or at least the art director..😂😂
This ad is very good without the sound....add the sound (voice and music) and it is too much.....maybe if the music is softer? Thanks for posting though.
