Did they fixed the air bubbles problem. That will loose most of the injected co2.

The only two times I've seen them draw air are due to user error. One time is when being used with a skimmer intake and the lower valve isn't set right. The other time is when the sponges hadn't been cleaned and were so gunked up that water couldn't flow through it so it pulled air through the gasket. Personally this filter is as close to perfect as I've seen.

Thanks for the review. In Europe there seems to be a fair bit of complaints about the filter “burping”. Have you experienced this?

No problem. I've heard about those complaints as well. The only times I've had issues with burping is when I use a surface skimmer intake. Sometimes the water level gets too low or the bottom intake gets clogged and it causes additional pressure on the skimmer which pulls in air and causes what I think people call burping.

Does anyone have any info on this as an aquatic turtle tank filter?

I haven't used it on a turtle tank, but I'd imagine it would do a good job.

Hi, I just ordered the 250 themo version and waiting for it to arrive. I saw another video where their trays got melted together by the heater, because they didn't wait for heater to cool down, so what is your protocol for removing the top? When turning the heater back on after cleaning the inside of filter, do you turn on power head and wait for water to fill up and gurgling stops before you plug in heater?

Nice, you're gonna love it! My protocol is to turn the heater off when I'm doing work on it. If the thermostat was exposed to air, then it would have overheated and could have definitely caused plastic to melt. As long as their is water in the chamber, it shouldn't matter if the heater is on or not because the thermostat will kick it off at the temp that your tank is always set to. I plug my heater in after the filter has been primed. Basically any time the filter is off, the heater is off.
