How long did you have your pump before it broke? Looking into buying one but if its flimsy, I'll pass on it..

After two years (or a bit more or less) dirt that can not be completely flushed away tends to accumulate and the integrity of the filters is reduced so yes at some point you replace the filitration medium, this is normal
