Legendary Brit Rockers Oasis have just announced a huge Uk 2025 tour!
Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher rose from rags to riches as they became one of the most influential and successful Brit bands of a generation. The 2025 comeback has been overshadowed by outrage from fans due to extortionate ticket prices. In this discussion video, we cover it all!

For me personally the news of Gallagher brothers reuniting gave more emotions than buying a new car, I'm not even kidding. Oasis is one of my favourite bands, I listen to their songs on a regular basis, learn to play them, sing. So I am somewhat of a fan. A fan who came too late to the party, when the band was already done. And now I have a ghost of a chance to actually see them live on stage - of course I am excited. Will I go to the UK or Ireland and buy an overpriced ticket? No. But if they do decide to visit Europe, Eastern Europe to be exact, I will at least consider going to the show. I am also genuinely happy that these guys finally got back together after all these years. It was always kinda sad to me that brothers were so apart, I can't imagine how hard it was for their mother. Hopefully they have both matured and learnt from their mistakes.

I was a fan back in the 90s. I am from the states and saw them in '98 on the Be Here Now tour, and they were fantastic (Cornershop opened). I never felt too bad about them splitting up because I thought that a reformation was highly likely. It took long enough, but here we are. I won't be seeing them live this go-round for a variety of financial and logistical reasons, but am happy for those that plan on going. Good video, Vaughn! Fookin' mad for it!!

As an Oasis fan from South America, the reunion so far is something great, but Im on the minority that would love to see new music with it and so far it does not look that way. Liam kept the name going with his tours and Noel went off his tangent and made some tracks that don't fit on the Oasis usual sound. If they could work those things together and make a new project it would be amazing. But i dont see it happening.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 - Vaughn, you've nailed it in your starting sequence. We from Germany used to think of Britpop as being a reincarnation of The Beatles. And the most famous example is this wall thing by Oasis. 🤣 Regarding memes, there is an endless list of them. The best thing I've seen was: The reunion we got The reunion we wanted This was also used for Harry and William as "The reunion we wanted". A lot to laugh about these days. You britains always deliver. But in the end, to be serious again: Who wants such a comeback? Back in 2006, 4 random dudes from the Wirral penisula made an little comeback in a German TV show. And in 2010, the released their first album after their breakup in 1988 and after the previous album in 1995. Since then, they are big, big stars on the stages around the world. And they said one: Who cares about charts positions? The band's name: Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, my musical heroes. They fill the venues and sell the records. They were wanted when they made their comeback. I'm not sure if Oasis is wanted. But others will judge. I had a lot of fun with your video. Thank you.

Not a huge fan but cannot deny how big they were, during their peak years. The whole working class tough guy became cliche. I was a middle class mixed raced guy, who immigrated during the early 90’s. So couldn’t relate to them on that level. Musically it didn’t resonate with me, believe it or not. I got in to Duran Duran and DM quite early around the mid to late 90’s. So Brit Pop passed me by. Also got in to Nu Metal which came around the early 2000’s and the resurgence of Indie Rock in the mid 2000’s. So Oasis were slowly becoming a nostalgia act by then. But they did sell out big tours during that time, but I think there record sales during that time got less over time. But this comeback proves how big they are.

Good balanced view of the situation Vaughn. I was a big Oasis fan back in the day, saw them live in 97 but started to drift off them in the noughties bar the odd song. Noel is kind of big headed, Liam was a complete knob until fairly recently. Give them their dues though they were a great rock band and they are quite engaging characters. Just on a human level it's good to see two brothers make up, hopefully like you say Liam has grown up and they won't fall out again! I saw Liam live earlier this year at the O2 and I will be seeing them in Cardiff next year to relive my youth before middle age really starts to set in. 😄

Brilliant job VG!!! The venn diagram of "Oasis '25" and "nuance" contained non-overlapping circles until this video came out. Oasis weren't just a band. They were the expression of, and the catalyst for, a whole bunch of cultural phenomena which you have beautifully articulated. And I wonder if that is partly why they are so polarising. If you were there in time and space, you probably relate. If you weren't, you might find it perplexing. Both are totally legitimate. Having imprinted on the music of the UK scene between 1994 and 1997, Oasis and the Britpop movement go beyond like or dislike for me. They are in my DNA. "She's electric...can I be electric too?"

Oasis is a huge band and both brothers are very talented in their own way. I'm not a fan but looking back I appreciate their legacy and find some of the songs bloody good. The reunion is a good thing anyway. There's a demand - we can see it from ticket sales alone. Yes, 400+ is a ridiculous money for a gig but hey, I've paid a little less than 300€ for a Depeche ticket this year which is also thank you very much. Ticketmaster is a global issue, an artist alone can't solve it for us.

They were a pretty good band but, the thrill is no longer there. Not to be a party pooper but I don’t think Liam and Noel will be be able to hold off on the fisticuffs. Their music and image was never my sort of thing, but it must feel great for their fans, especially those who never got to see them back then. Also, I've read articles and comments from people saying that it takes them back and makes them feel nostalgic about the 90s. I can relate to that part: I did and still do prefer the 80s, but, living in 2024, I'd go back to the 90s in a heartbeat. I've always pined for the 80s (a time when I was a young child with nothing to worry about), but my appreciation and nostalgia for the 90s (a decade I took for granted at the time - partly because I absolutely detested secondary school) has definitely increased in recent years.

If so, can you share any personal favourite tracks of yours? What do you think of his instrumental compositions, be it with NIN , or his soundtrack work with Atticus Ross? However, I have friends that are beyond excited about Oasis, which is great for them but the one thing that annoys me about the whole thing is the furore around the ticket prices and Ticketmaster and associates. It's nothing new and there have been uproars many times before. NEVER pay over the odds. Im intrigued to see what happens when they announce the US dates, which if correct, includes the Pasadena Rose Bowl.
